[ The feed clicks on with a background score of faint mutters, fading in and out as if someone's thumb was briefly pressing over the mic. ] I gotta say, this waking up in a completely different place thing is getting kinda old. [ pause. ] Not that it's happened a lot, but I figured once was more than enough. As for the idea of having been fictional before – right. Sure. Somebody really outdid themselves this time around.

Now, I'd ask if anyone's been able to find a way outta this place, but something tells me the answer would be a no. So I guess I'll just stick with an introduction.

The name's Steve Rogers. Anybody know where I can find a good gym around here?

The phone is always a tricky thing to get familiarized with.

Well, this place at least has a sense of time that comes with it. You have a clock and calender to track the days. Other places don't have that and days seem endless.

Would you like to meet in front of the building or should I come by your place?

It's different from what I'm used to, for sure.

And in front of the building would be fine, if it's not too much trouble. If it is, you could always just give me directions and I'd be able to figure it out from there.

[And true to her word she's standing right outside the building ten minutes later. It shouldn't be too hard to spot her. She's the only one there with blue hair standing about.]

[ It's the blue hair that gives him the tip off, and Steve approaches her within a few moments of spotting her, hands in the pockets of his khaki slacks. ]

Excuse me, ma'am. Are you ... Aqua?

[ It doesn't hurt to check first, though. ]

Hm? [She turns around to see Steve there. She flashes him a small smile. She's not quite as well dressed as him, in fact she may look a little weird in her normal getup. It's hard to deviate away from wearing the same thing.]

Yes, that's me. It's nice to meet you in person, Steve.

[ Steve nods, with a small smile of his own. ]

It's nice to meet you in person as well. I hope I'm not causing you to go out of your way.

No, you're not. It's probably for the best I get out of the bookstore. I'm starting to think I might be a little bit of a workaholic. [And it's only taken her months of working to realize this.]

Besides, I probably should head to the gym myself and find a balance beam to work on.

But, ready to go?

I appreciate it all the same. [ And he grins a bit. ] I know workaholism's not an easy habit to kick.

I could spot you, if you'd like. [ Followed by another nod -- ] Yep, ready.

No, it's not but I'm glad someone understands.

[The offer comes as a surprise but she won't turn it down. ]

Sure, thank you. [ And now they'll start heading off to the gym. ]

How are you adjusting to New Moore?

[ Hey, Steve likes being helpful. Besides, she's showing him around -- it's the least he can do.

They walk along with Steve keeping about half a step behind so he can follow her lead, and at her question, he shrugs. ]

Well enough, I suppose. It was ... [ A little gesture with his hand. ] A shock, at first [ And that's an understatement, he knows. Waking up with familiar ground pulled out from under his feet, all over again. The first time had been bad enough. ]

It hasn't stopped being one. I'm still gettin' used to it, really.

Mmm, it's hard to adjust at first but it sort of gets easier as time goes on. [ Though it's sad to say it does get easier and harder to find a way out. ]

What was really jarring for me was to wake up in a bed. I was stranded on a beach and the next thing I know I wake up in a bed.

[ Best to not explain how she got there.

They keep walking, passing by a few shops. ]

A beach?

[ Steve pauses and glances at her, a bit of concern in his face. There's a story there for sure, but he doesn't ask further - he's not the sort to pry. Instead, ]

That must've been difficult. I mean, I went to bed and woke up in one, so the shock wasn't as bad.

[ A friendly smile as they walk past some shops and onto the next street. ]

Yeah, it's not quite as nice as you think it might be.

[She turns to look at him, noting the concern expression.] It's a long story.

So you literally went to bed then woke up here. I'm sorry. I mean, you were at home like most of the others here before coming to New Moore.

[The shops are nice and she doesn't mind pointing out a few, like the coffee shop and others, including the bookstore she works at.]

It wasn't exactly home.

[ Not in the way that counted, at least. Steve's voice is quiet, and he pauses for a second, thinking back. ]

But close enough, anyway. Just a place I was staying at.

[ The shops are a welcome distraction and he listens as Aqua points them out, the bookstore catching his attention. ]

[The bookstore is a safe subject to talk about for both of them. Aqua wanted to ask where 'home' was for Steve, but that would be taking it too far. They barely knew each other and that topic was better left for another day.

Their little walk continues on until they've reached the gym.]

I believe this is it.

[Well only one way to find out, inside they go!]

Looks like it.

[ Inside indeed! Steve looks around himself, taking in the surroundings, and then turns back to Aqua. ]

I think I should be good to go from here. Thanks for showing me around.

[Yay for getting people to the right place!]
