So I've been here a monthish now and I guess I should find out who's hiring? I don't have a degree or anything but how much does that matter in an alternate universe? ...That's a serious question because I have noooo idea. I don't want to be a super mooch since my roommate is all working-girl which I think means it's time to get my Bettie Page on. Minus the bangs, those so weren't for me.

That said, I am looking for a new hairstyle to go with my paycheck. All suggestions are 100% ready-and-welcome to be taken into consideration.

Does, um. Do any of you adult-types which I guess I'm now included in... that bracket. Do you guys go to school? College-shaped school? Here?

Adult-type speaking. There are several who go to school of the college shape. Enrollment is fairly easy I would be happy to walk you through the process of it.

As for the job market right now, there are a few things I could recommend. Did you have anything in particular in mind?

I've done food servicing? And I was a guidance person at a high school. Not much else for employment history except for that one day I was a construction worker. Um. I don't mind getting my hands dirty or -- any other part of me.

[ what is she even talking about. ] Thanks, though. About my hair... and the help for school. Maybe I should wait since more crisis-y stuff is probably going to happen and I never was very good at multitasking.

I hear the pizza boy gets hilariously overpaid. Food servicing might not be a bad idea here. The guidance person position is unfortunately filled by me but we could use any staff at the school. Teachers are lacking. ...And as far as dirt goes that probably works with most other positions.

The Four Saisons lost a few employees, that's a hotel. If you can swim, there aren't any lifeguards on duty lately and beaches tend to be open year round.

You're welcome. The crisis stuff tends to come up regardless of multitasking skills. You'll have to practice.

You mean I could get paid to go to the beach? [ hm. that will be tabled!! ] I don't know if I'm qualified to be all teachy though. I obviously never got through college...

And I'm good in a crisis. Like, really good. Better than the best, even. Maybe. Depending on who the best is in this hypothetical. As long as it's not like, Superman we're probably okay. I'm just saying homework is going to take a backseat to any crisising that may occur.

You could. I don't think a lot of people went through college but that is a fair point if you're more interested in the learning side of school.

You'd have to ask the younger Strider but I'm under the impression it's a couple hundred a day.

They would? They didn't at Hellmouth University, but I guess that makes sense when your teacher's an evil mastermind soldierlady. And then I kindof had to drop out... Uhm. Anyway.

Plus my college is part of the hole in the ground that the rest of my town became, so. Yeah.

And I believed you re: overpaying but still. Hundreds of dollars. For pizzas. It was gasp-worthy.

It's a lot. But who wouldn't make hella tips for instantaneous time-travel delivery.

I guess that would make it differenty. I'm not so much with the time travelling.

But yeah you should probably make your resume be a little bit more than "My hair is pretty today," I mean that's a good selling point but. Probably more to it than that.

Uhhh, yeah. Well, "hunter" implies that I hunt for them. It's more of a patrolling action.

You know, I thought that whole fictional thing was a crock until I met Peter Pan. And now this...

I guess...just because you're fictional in someone else's world doesn't mean you're not real? Like there's comic books at home about superheroes that aren't real. Besides you never know how true that stuff is, maybe it's just really good fanfic. Fanfic with foresight. Or a detailing of events of a different universe. Trans-universal history writing.

I thought fanfiction was exclusively a Star Trek... thing. Trek is the show and the Wars were the movies, right? Well, I know they made Trek movies too and there were books for both? Whatever, this whole nerdy thing is Xander's territory. Not that you're-- I just.

Did I get it wrong? I've seen... the Empire Strikes Back? I didn't mind that one though I'm way more of a kung fu guy. The force just seems like cheating.

And Star Trek was the one with the colored shirts and the bald guy who always called his friend Numba One right? Xander was more into that Bablyon one than Trek though I've seen a few episodes between him and Andrew.

--Do you know who all these people are? Since I'm a comic book slash TV person and all. I mean, are they too? It's kind of hard to tell the story of Buffy without the story of Buffy and Buffy's friends.

The force is definitely not cheating - you have to train super hard to be able to use it.

But okay yeah you've got them worked out, so there's hope for you yet.

And yeah, definitely. I always really liked Willow -- is that weird to say?

It's not weird! Willow is very likeable! In fact, she's one of the likeablest people I like.
