Yeah, well, that's not what Captain Marvel thinks.

Anyone called Captain Marvel has probably made quite a few undue life choices along the way.

What's that supposed to mean?

Superhero names leave much to be desired. Though, it's amusing when mortals think them clever.

Iron Man for the man who has no iron in his suit. Captain America because America really needed to be represented by a steroid-pumped blond.

Superheros are people deluding themselves.

Precisely. And you're using one to . . . what, prove something? She's probably not even a real captain.

I thought so too, but she actually is one. Weird.

And I'm not trying to prove anything. She's the one who's so jazzed and fixing me because I could possibly go psycho and hurt people, cause apparently that's what hearing dying voices means to her.

How helpful. So she's doing it for the sake of others, not yours. How typical of superheroes.

I don't know which is more annoying. Using me to like talk to the dead and get away with being the worst person in the world, or trying to make it all go away so she can feel better about herself.

Both seems malignant of her. But that is how they function. That is how they all function. Use and then discard, so that the powers that be do not turn against them.

She doesn't do the first one. But, yeah. The rules don't really apply for them, people get hurt and it's their fault for getting involved or being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

That is why they're super heroes. It gives them the moral advantage.

Screw moral advantage. I'm over it.

Then why do you let her continue?

I hear people dying in my head all the time. I black out and wake up places days later and I don't know how I got there. Everyone I care about is gone or dead or both. I don't care what anybody's reason is for working with me, but no one else is exactly knocking down doors to keep me from gushing crazy over everything.

There might be a way to keep it in.

I'm saying I doubt money is gonna be the fix-all for this. I've known other people who understand what banshees are and what they can do before, and it's not like money came up when they were dealing out solutions. It was mostly murder.

Those people were not Gods. I am far older than you know and far more experienced in matters of magic than they are.

Since when do you have banshees in Norse mythology?
