Everyone always thinks it's going to happen in their lifetimes... but who ever actually thinks that they're going to be right?
Well... Whatever happens, happens, I guess. There's still a lot that I would like to do but... If this is the end, I'd rather die with dignity making others comfortable than die cowering under a rock somewhere.
So with or without the other hosts, I will ensure that the Host Club stays open to those who need a place to come and find peace with his or her fellow man, and those who need a friend to hold their hands.
I am the Host, Fujioka Haruhi, at your service.

I'm just trying to stay positive.
How are you holding up?

In fact, I think it probably means more now than ever before.

At least, to me.
I don't mind dying with these feelings.

It really.. means a lot.

Someone has to help people, and I think that I can be one of those people.

It's okay, Sempai. I think we all are.
If you're looking for some friends, I've got the host club open, and Ryoji-kun and I are starting some soup. I'm going to be setting up some blankets and things here shortly, so you're welcome to stop by if you feel like it.

I mean.. if you're not up to it, or you have somewhere better to be... you don't have to...
But we certainly wouldn't turn you away.

Kyouya on the other hand... I can't ever be sure of anything with him.
How are you holding up, Sempai?

Don't be afraid of death. Instead, it's something that is steady and certain, an assurance that we will all arrive to the end of the same path many have already walked. We're all different, and we come from different places, but there is something we have in common, and that is one day we will all die.
It's not about bravery or strength, but realizing that life is too short to worry about how the end will come. Don't suffer like this. It's what Haruhi is trying to tell you.
Right now, we're still alive.
