Those freaks at the hospital fed me some horse shit about being fictional, but what's really going on? Terrorists? Did they bring me here 'cause I'm a mutant, or don't they discriminate?

They don't seem to discriminate in terms of who is brought here, no. We've got regular humans, mutants like yourself, other humans with all sorts of powers and abilities, and aliens like me.

They tell everyone the fictional story, and they certainly seem to believe it, but I don't think anyone else does. Or, at least, that's not all there is to it.

In my opinion, we all seem to have bled through the cracks between realities - or else we were pulled through. Many here are certainly from worlds not my own, some where the basic laws of nature are radically different.

There seems to be no way out, unfortunately. There's a forcefield surrounding the island, and despite all our power and all our abilities, nobody has yet managed to get through, and some have been here over a year now.

What's more, time and even reality itself are much more wibbly here than they ought to be - strange stuff happens that nobody can explain. It could be a result of the cracks we came through or just a feature of this reality.
