[One of the boats in the harbor begins to spin, slowly, counterclockwise, oscillating back and forth before it finally settles, pointed due north. Then, the next boat at anchor does the same. Then the next and the next.]

Do things truly grow that bad between Charles and I? I'm not surprised, exactly, that he would teach his students to fear me, but surely there are still common threats to mutantkind.

I wasn't his student, and I'm not afraid of you. [If Magneto doesn't recognize him, then there's no need to lay everything out on the table just yet--especially in this strange place. And okay yeah, if there's anyone he's at all afraid of, it's the guy who can rip his skeleton out with a thought.]

There are always threats. Not everyone thinks they should be dealt with by declaring war on humans.
