I think sometimes I can understand why people say working on the Police force can be a disheartening job. It feels great, helping people. But when you can't, or when you're too late to do anything to stop it... it's a bit harder to think about all the great things we do for people. Sometimes it just starts to feel like no matter how hard you try, you're always a step behind the bad guys.

Are you busy? Think I could stop by, tonight?

I don't think I'll be at the apartment for the next few days. I'll send you a text when I plan on coming back, but other than that, the place is all yours.
