It's hard to tell what he knows. There was something different that I couldn't place.

[it was much better in this place without him, that's all he could say. the person he was ... well, for thousands of years he was the picture of "what not to do" on the tongue of everyone who retold the myths of the gods.]

[the affection is a little odd, but not unpleasant. he hadn't had a confident since he had forced Hela to throw Leah into the past. and he knew ... he knew that she would never forgive him for that, no matter what his reasons were for it.]

[ Her hug doesn't last long; already it feels too awkward to continue pressed like that, physically and emotionally. Unwelcome, probably, given that she'd just pulled his strings as best as she couldn't and hadn't even been subtle about it. ]
