I knew this place was full of some kind of magic. People acted like I was crazy.

Memory loss? And trees and plants everywhere. Magic always causes problems. We're all lucky it wasn't something much worse.

No. My partner's world has them.

Does their world have other kinds of evil, too? Monsters?

Yeah, more or less. [It's not really her place to go into details though.]

Sounds a lot like my world.

Might be. A lot of worlds here seem to have things in common.

I've only been to two worlds before this one. They had nothing in common. I never really thought that there were worlds that might have similarities.

So this other worlds thing is common where you're from too?

[waywardboy]

I don't know how common it is, but I spent most of my life in a hell dimension. Other people I know have been to other hell dimensions, too. Not really great vacation spots. It takes some pretty powerful demon magic to open a portal.

I wouldn't think any place called a hell dimension would be a great holiday location. You must be pretty happy to be here.

It's better here... but I'm not used to it. A lot of things are strange to me. I was in Los Angeles for awhile before coming here, I'd escaped the place where I grew up, but I still have a lot to learn.

It's culture shock for a lot of people. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it.

I hope so.

I like the food here, though. A lot better than having to hunt for everything.

It sounds like a step up. If you haven't tried Chinese food yet, you should. It's my favorite.

Chinese food? Do they have that here?

Thankfully. I'd go nuts otherwise.
