I had that same thought when I first arrived!
They can't force you. 8ut they will harass you with truancy officers. Or a particularly stu88orn teacher will 8ug you and 8ug you and 8ug you. And fuss and meddle! So meddlesome.
I was going to 8low it off for a while. 8ut I guess somewhere in the middle I changed my mind.
