Hello. My name is Aqua and new to this...island.

Am I to understand everything that was told to me in the hospital is true? That my existence...and everything I know, was as imaginary as the worlds and characters in books? I find this very hard to believe, though from what I'm told my skepticism is "normal".

I digress, if anyone knows of Ven or Terra or if they are here please, let me know. Any and all information would be helpful.

[There's a small nod from her.]

Depending on where we've all been taken from. We won't be together, or who knows if we'll be able to recall any of this...

[She pauses, trying to think of way to bring up what Axel told her.]

What happened to the other worlds, Riku?

Taken by darkness. Not all of them ... but a lot.

[He looks sullen for a moment. After all, he had helped with some of that. Sure, Sora had gone a long way to reverse some of the damage, but that doesn't make him feel any better.]

Without keyblade wielders ... at least, without more than just Mickey, I guess there wasn't much that could be done.

[Aqua falls quiet, bowing her head a little as she takes in what he just said. She wishes she could've done more.]

...I see.

Sorry.

[He wants to say more. If this was Sora standing here, he knows his friend would be better at empathy ... and then the sympathetic part that would follow. But that isn't Riku's strength.]

It'll be okay...at least the worlds have you and Sora to keep them safe.

[Comfort wouldn't be well received at the moment. She's trying to Gerty over the shock of it ask; from coming to the island to learning everything that's happened in her absence. Though there is something that brings her to the present.]

I learned from Xion that she and Roxas have Keyblades and offered to train them a little. If you would like to join them, you can. I didn't think there would be more Wielders here other than you.

[A smile touches his lips at her offer. That would have helped ... before the test, probably. At this point, he's not sure he needs it. Being named master and knowing his strength ...

He's been through a lot, and while he lacks in other areas, areas where Sora would always excel, fighting isn't one of them.]

I—uh, I think I'm good. Master Yen Sid just named me master recently.

Really? [The surprise is written on her face and in her voice. For a moment she thinks he's too young, but she's remembering him for the young boy he was. Not the teen he is now.]

Congratulations then, Master Riku.

[It's not like Riku to blush ... and he doesn't, but there's something about how his stance changes that seems to reflect that he is just as awkward and surprised.]

... Thanks, Aqua.

[Aqua can see Riku's stance change, but she won't comment on it. Instead she'll chuckle and simply smile.]

I'm proud of you. Very proud.

[He resists the urge to point out exactly what he always thinks in these situations: it should have been Sora. Even with all of Sora's praise and Riku's willingness to jump into his work, he still has that doubt. After all, he wasn't even sure if he was good enough to hold the keyblade. Becoming master ...

Riku shifts his weight and tries to straighten up again.]

Thanks. I mean it.

[He pauses and then goes on:]

That said: what more do I need to know about what went on back then?

[Watching Riku...he reminds her of Terra. Both she and her best friend could never take compliments too well. Either Riku thinks he doesn't deserve it, or he's too modest for his own good.

The question makes her look away for a moment.]

A lot went on and I don't believe a single day is enough for me to explain. I can only tell you what I witnessed and what I faced. It's only a third of what happened between the three of us.

I don't need to know everything. What's your business is yours. The Xehanort stuff would be the most important. ... And I'd like to know what you think about Ven being there inside of Sora's heart.

[It'd be too much to expect her to tell him everything. He can't ask for that.]

And—anything about those monsters. And the guy they're connected to.

Ven? What do you mean he's in Sora's heart? [How could that be? Had his heart really gone out to the little boy she met all those years ago? It would explain his seemingly endless sleep. Why his body remained the same and why she had to keep him protected.]

The monsters, they all relate back to Xehanort, Riku. it all starts and ends with him. [She takes a breath, feeling herself getting tired from learning so much and having to soon explain so much too.]

As I said, it's a long story. The monsters are Unversed and they all come from Vanitas.

He just is. I didn't get it.

[And honestly, he wishes he did: having that question answered would help in the Roxas department. The fact that Roxas looks like that guy is strange. The fact that Xion looks like him, too, even briefly ... well, somehow, it all links back to Sora.]

Of course. Xehanort. How do they come from ... Vanitas?

[How does this all connect back to Sora? It's truly puzzling.]

Vanitas...[It's hard for her to say this because it involves bringing Ven up.] Is connected to Ven. He's the darkness from Ven's heart that was ripped out of him by Xehanort. Because of this...he has the ability to create as many Unversed as he wants. [She waits a moment for Riku to take that in while she herself has to take control of her emotions. He is part of Ven, a part she wished didn't exist, but he's there. If he has acted out tremendously, she'll put a stop to it herself.]

I thought he was defeated.

[The darkness pulled from someone's heart? Is that even possible? Then again, if it's Xehanort, maybe it is. He frowns and understands. She thought he was defeated, which means that ten years ago ... he was defeated. That gives him some hope.]

That's not good. But it does mean he won't want to be defeated again.

It means...more than likely he'll try and pick a fight. [And if he knows she's here...she'll have to watch her back more.]
