Are doppelgangers a real thing? I mean

Not like shadows of yourself or anything. I met something like that once and it was different. [also it kicked his butt at first probably maybe. and then it split into several at once. on a pirate ship. that was a weird afternoon.]

I mean like a totally different person that happens to look just like you. I guess that's not really a doppelganger, though...

[So there is a very worried looking young man staring at the camera. They said other people could see him with this. That he can just talk and they'd see it. It's still strange to him, but he's supposed to deal with being told he's a 'fictional', right? Right. So after a few long moments, Ryu speaks.]

Um... I'm Ryu... I'm new here, I guess... uh...

[He shakes his head. This is too hard to take in.]

I don't understand any of this. How could I not be real? I just need to get home. I need to find him. I need to go back.

[No one's here that he knows. He'd asked.]

[... He's not sure what else to say, so he reaches over and turns the video off.]

What: Like, is any of this for real? Sora emerges from the hospital, a bit dazed and confused and trying to figure out what sort of dream world he's stumbled onto. Or if it's even a dream.

Where: Immediate area surrounding the hospital and probably other areas as Sora wanders!

Okay, look. This is all well and good for…whatever it is they're trying to do, but I really, really don't have time for this. [It's okay, Harry, we know you're inwardly freaking out about waking up suddenly absolutely not dead. There is a reason that he's keeping the video off for now.] I suppose they don't care about that, do they?

Right. Anyway, here's my question. Is there anyone who actually thought they were fictional before arriving here, or are we just believing what we've been told since there's nothing else to go off of? Because no offense, but the last seventeen years of my life have been a bit too chaotic to be anything but real. I can't imagine why anyone would want to fictionalize my life in the first place. Also, fictional or not, can anyone tell me what happens to our lives back where we came from? Do they just stop existing? It's really important that I get an answer.

Well, I have to say, I was most definitely not expecting this. Although I'm sure that this whole situation came to a surprise to most of you as well. Having to doubt your own existence isn't a pleasant thing, I think. I'm sorry you all had to go through that.

Am I to understand everything that was told to me in the hospital is true? That my existence...and everything I know, was as imaginary as the worlds and characters in books? I find this very hard to believe, though from what I'm told my skepticism is "normal".

Guess the time has come to be a little more obvious about this. Something strange just showed up. They're colorful monsters that are running all over the place. I haven't seen these ones before, but I know they're familiar. Thing is, familiar is bad. These things can hurt you. I'm not sure of what all they're capable of, but if you see anything, bright, colorful, and monstrous running around ... go in the opposite direction.

And—I was gonna try avoiding this, but here's a proper introduction. My name is Riku. Where I come from, and probably where other people come from, even if they just don't know it yet, some people have the power to wield keyblades. These keyblades are a sign of a strong heart. Recently, I ... well, I got named keyblade master. So while we're all stuck here together, I guess I'm in charge of looking after you all.

That—uh, that isn't to say you guys can't do it, too. I've seen people fight from all different types of places. And my best friend ... he's seen even more. But I can't slack on the job.

You know, I've decided. This school year was pretty okay. Even with me failing ethics on a technicality and the fact that the school is still deep into lacrosse denial-- I keep telling you guys, frisbee is where it's at-- we still had some good times. I mean, at least five different people set the chem lab on fire near finals. New record! By the way, none of those were me.

But let's try for bigger next year, yeah? Really show the big guys who rocks. How 'bout it?
