Am I correct in remembering that there are cooking classes available right now? I don't particularly need the instruction, but I should like to get new recipes. I can always spice them up if they are too bland after all. It could be fun to go as a group with friends, too.

...What does my work schedule have to do with checking in to a hotel?

Ignoring the whole class consent form weirdness for the moment... has everyone else noticed how little sense this island makes?  And I don't mean how we all got here, what we are, volcanoes and magic snow and things like that.  Simple stuff.  I'm the night stockboy at Juanes, and there are always new things to stock -- where are they being delivered from?  Does somewhere on the island manufacture them?  In which case, do we have a refinery for plastic, and an offshore oil well?  Where are the materials coming from?  Where is all our food coming from?

And on an island where nobody leaves and nobody visits, why do we have a hotel?

Have the possible magma flow paths been mapped out for the city? I haven't heard any plans for evacuations yet, but surely they have some sort of protocol for this... They wouldn't keep everyone here on the island regardless, would they?

Customers seem to be asking me these sorts of things every other moment... I don't really have satisfactory answers for them, and that's started me worrying as well.

Ah... Jenny, these comic strips... The fawn in the living room seems rather attracted to them. I've picked them up for now, but given the way things keep winding up out of their drawers, I'm not sure how long they'll remain safe. Maybe we could distract it with a plant?

I'm not really sure what happened over the past week or so, but I have several messages on my voicemail from work... They aren't very happy, and they want to know why I wasn't there. Does anyone know what happened? Was I ill or something?

It has come to my attention that with all the lost children roaming in the city, there is a dilemma of epic proportions that must be solved!  Therefore, I am pleased to announce the formation of

TAMAKI & HARUHI'S CATERING SERVICE
FOR WAYWARD CHILDREN

A helpful clerk has informed me that every resident, including the children, should be receiving the same stipend, so no-one should have to worry about such trifling nuisances as paying!  Instead everyone who would like a well-cooked meal and a large number of friends should come down to the dormitory kitchens and enjoy!

ETA:  Since we're expecting a large turnout, we could use a pair of waiters as well if any well-matched set of talented and courteous people happened to have the time on their hands...

It is lovely to be here and I truly appreciate all that people have done to accommodate me - the facilities for this boarding school are quite modern and well-appointed - but I wish to communicate with my parents. Or the physician that commonly treats our family. This memory loss is alarming...

The counsellor said that it might help if I became part of the community, like getting a job... I don't know if it'll work. I mean, everyone's so cheerful! Doesn't it bother people to be thought of as imaginary? However... It's not home, but I've been accepted as a hostess at the Four Saisons. It seems that this is likely what I'm best suited for. They are slightly short-staffed at the moment, so if people are interested in helping people get checked in and settled into their rooms, there are still some openings.

So, this is all some crazy world on the other side of the TV or something, right?  I mean, they're the fake ones, not, um, what they said?  I just want to know, if I shout 'You're Not Real!', I'm not going to wind up fighting some kind of giant fire-breathing yellow-eyed monster, am I?

It seems there's been a mass immigration to the island earlier this week. As many of you are still settling in your new environment, I'm sure you have many questions about this place. While I can't assure you I have all the answers, as a contract representative of the New Moore Police Force, please utilize me as a resource.

Kanji, did you get a roommate as well? They've assigned me with someone.
