Most people seem to have some outstanding ability that sets them apart, but there are plenty of normal people walking around too. There's also some locals that didn't come here through the hospital. We're what they call "fictionals"

Humans born with augmented DNA that gives them some sort of power or ability. They call themselves the next step in human evolution. I worked with a group of them back home, the X-Men, for a little bit when I was in a tight spot.

It gets even better when you realize about half of the teenagers are actually superheros and the other half are aliens from an incredibly violent culture.
