My favorite time of year is nearly here. It's strange to think I won't be spending it at home. But maybe there's a way to make up for that? I'm not a bad cook and I like large gatherings - as long as everyone behaves themselves.

Would anyone be interested in a nice dinner party for Christmas? I know it's a little early, but I'd like to have plenty of time to plan. Besides it's nice to have something to look forward to, right?

[As promised, she appears ten minutes later and pushes open the door.]

Thank you for setting it aside for me.

I'll think about it. If it's something for you and your closer friends here, I wouldn't want to intrude upon that.

[Aqua was sorting out different books, making sure the bookstore continued to run properly. Thank goodness the AC was working again. Once Lily comes through the door, she's greeted with a smile.]

You're welcome. I hope it makes for a good read and it's nice to meet you in person, Lily.

Oh nonsense. Everyone is invited! I just need to know how many so I can properly prepare.

[Lily beams back and steps up to the counter.]

Likewise, Aqua! [She picks up the book and examines it. New books are always exciting. Besides, who can resist the scent of a new book? Yes, she might be in love.]

As for the party, please seriously consider coming. I would like everyone to feel comfortable and have a good time.

[New books are loved, should always be cherished and handled with care. CARE!]

Well...[She wasn't really the party going type, but if Lily wanted her there...] I'll come, but would you mind if I helped out? Bringing something to eat, cook, or anything?

Oh! Before you take that one, there are some spell books around here. Basic stuff and some herbal remedy books too, since you like to garden and all.

[All books are treated with care when they are purchased by Lily Potter.]

I can use all the help I can get! But don't go out of your way or anything. We can work together on making it a good party.

[Her eyes brighten. She wants all of them.]

I must commend you on your stock.

We could work together. I wouldn't want you to do all the work.

[Having two people or more, do the cooking makes things go by quicker, it's easier and more fun.

She lets out a light chuckle.]

It's not me, it's whatever books that suddenly show up. Would you like me to grab them for you, or show you where they're at.

I would like that. I don't even have a clear idea of how things should be set up yet.

[Turning work to fun is a must! Lily grins at Aqua, blinking a bit.]

Really? Maybe it sensed I would be interested? [That's a weird thought.] We can grab them together.

Then, we can do it. There's some cookbooks here that could point us in the right direction.

[Chuckles again. Maybe it did sense the other wanted a few new books.]

Maybe, who knows. I don't question it anymore. [She comes around from behind the counter.]

Alright, follow me. [She'll take them down several rows of bookshelves, going into the gardening section first.] Anything new?

Perfect. [Cookbooks. Excellent.] I know a few homemade recipes that should be popular, but everyone comes from a different world. I'm sure their food varies too.

[She smiles a little, taking the appearance of the books as a good sign. Under Aqua's guidance, she walks down the gardening aisle, scanning the titles curiously.]

I remember this one from home... [She tugs one book out, looking surprised.]

Maybe some people will bring a dish as a reminder of home. If anything we can look through some of the books here to try a new recipe, or just try it for fun.

[Her footsteps come to a slow halt hearing Lily found something from home.]

That's a first. I've seen books that were similar to the ones I had back home, but not an exact replica. I think it's a sign you should take it.

I wonder if I should tell everyone they're welcome to do that? It would help them personalize the party to their liking in the food department, at least.

[She looks up from the book, cheeks pink.]

I'm touched. [Things like this mean the world to her.] You can bet this book is coming home with me.

You could, it wouldn't hurt to let everyone know that.

[Smiles softly at her.]

Good, it needs a better home than staying here on these shelves and...[She moves a few feet away to grab the book about herbal remedies and returns back to Lily.] This is the book I was talking about. Herbs to plant that can help with headaches, sore throats and the like. Plus, they double for great seasonings.

I'll do that, then. That's a really good idea.

[Lily hugs the books to her chest, moved by the idea of giving the book a home.]

I'll pick out a good spot for it. [She reaches for the book on herbs, nodding.] This would be good to have around. I'm skilled in Potions, so I know most of the herbs and what they do, but if I'm not around and someone needs to look something up...

[Yes, definitely good to have around.]

Mmhmm, and maybe you could make a list of who will bring what.

[Nods.]

Like your friend or husband? [Because, she takes it either those close to Lily know she's a witch, or dabble in magic themselves.] That could come in handy for them as well. Which leads me to the next stop...

[She starts walking again, making sure Lily's following her as they walk down three aisles.]

Books on spells, magics and the like.

Definitely.

[She thumbs through the herb book as they walk, closing it only when Aqua says something about spells.]

James and Sirius are Wizards, but I was one of the top students in Potions. If they need a potion, they usually come to me.

[And she likes practicing the art.]

I need to keep these in a place where Sirius can get at them too.

Wow, that's incredible. I didn't think New Moore would have more magic users here, let alone Wizards. The only one I met was Merlin. [Whereas Yen Sid was a sorcerer and a retired Keyblade Master. But Merlin? Wizard, through and through.]

I think there might another copy of that book in the back if you want to have a second copy around.

You met Merlin? [He was here? Forgive her gaping.] He's...a legend in our world. If you know the sort of Magic he practiced, we're not that different.

[At least as far as she knows.]

Maybe I can slip it to him as a present. [She laughs quietly.] I'm not sure if Sirius is the type who enjoys books.

[Blinks, oh...was he a big deal? Forgive her for not knowing.] Ahhh, I met Merlin, but maybe not the one from your world. Before coming to New Moore I went to different worlds. I met Merlin in a world called Radiant Garden. We didn't talk about magics, but I was trying to help him locate a book.

[Takes a moment to think.] Well...better to have something on hand in case you can't remember.

But, books always make for great presents and if it's from you, I think he'll enjoy it regardless.

[Could there be multiple Merlins? Is that possible?

The short answer: yes. And Lily knows that. It's still baffling.]

Do you remember the title of the book? [Her curiosity is overwhelming, sorry Aqua.] Absolutely. Who knows what might happen?

[If anything is possible then her getting amnesia is also possible.]

You think? [Her eyes twinkle.] He's a good bloke. He just has a lot of energy.

[If there's multiple worlds, chances are there are multiple Merlins and other people.]

Ummm...[Thinks.] I know, but I don't at the same time. If I remember, I'll tell you.

[Someone could lose their memory or powers, or both. Better to have something on hand in case anything happens.]

Of course, who would be unhappy if they got a present from a friend? [Rhetorical questions for the win!] He sounds like someone else I know. Kind heart, big smile and full of energy. [And misses him...maybe she'll see Ven someday.]

[That...makes sense. As much as anything makes sense.]

It's not a big deal. I'm just curious. [Overly so and she knows it, which is why she smiles apologetically.]

We give each other a hard time. [With love!] I'd like to give him something useful, though. I can throw something fun in with it.

[Lily softens and tilts her head.]

Is he here?

Well, like I said, if I remember it I'll let you know. [She understands when curiosity has a hold of you. It's hard to shake off.]

If you want something that has more fun to it, I might be able to find one that has more pictures. Maybe even an activity kit in there. [She's partially joking, though if Lily wants such a book Aqua will go find it for her.]

No...unfortunately not. The people from my world, they're... [Not from the same time line as her. She's from the past, but in saying that out loud would sound weird, right?]...not from the same area as me.
