general actionspam for mistletoe; make threads for whoever! you don't just have to kiss ryojikun CHU
[ it's a beautiful evening. the moon is waxing, the stars are just beginning to prick the night sky, and behold! there is mistletoe hanging in every nook and cranny you can think of. whether you are taking a stroll outside for a late-night cup of coffee, just came out of your favorite cafe, are taking a walk by the snowy beach, or possibly just innocent strolling down the hall of your apartment, it is there.
whoever steps beneath it may not know it, but suddenly the person standing beside them, passing by, or walking in the opposite direction suddenly looks a lot more attractive. maybe their inhibitions just got shot to all hell. whatever it is, it's time to pucker up. ]

but hey, you're looking good yourself. AWKWARD, she's been over that Catholic crush for a few centuries, hasn't she - well. in any case.]
Ahh, Spain, you made it!
no subject
Or maybe he'll just stare at her instead. Yeah, staring sounds good. )
You look really really cute today, Bélgica!
no subject
[ she adjusts her decidedly non-uniform Santa hat with a little jingle, grinning cheekily. ]
Ain't they the nicest? Romano and I decorated, so I figured we'd decorate our own selves the same, huh?
no subject
Although Belgium IS looking kinda cute. He's ignoring her EVEN MORE NOW. ]
no subject
Belgium peers out from the back room with a tray of gingerbread cookies in her hands, eying Romano curiously.]
Hey, why don't ya put on that Santa hat I picked up for ya, huh?
no subject
Mistletoe? What mistletoe? ]

[ There's a dark-haired boy waving his arms as he approaches. he's bundled up in his black jacket and yellow scarf that he somehow acquired from one of the shops in town. it was probably around the same time when it started snowing. it's cold enough that he can see his breath, and though it's a little awkward seeing palm trees covered in a thin sheet of snow, he decides that he can get used to it. ...even if he wasn't real. even if she wasn't, either.
Ryoji stops, letting out a sigh and trying to catch up with breathing. ]
Ah, sorry, I'm late!
no subject
I was just watching the snow.. I never thought I'd see it!
no subject
and then, it's like he's seeing something else like he hadn't before. ]
Ah ... Yeah, the snow ...
[ he falls into the feeling easily. ]
You're a natural. You and the snow ... both are elegant and beautiful. It suits you.
no subject
She has not spared a thought to the mistletoe invasion.]
no subject
She hasn't seen either the mistletoe or Xavin.]
no subject
Are you not cold?
[Xavin pauses, and looks discomfited by her actions.
There is, of course, mistletoe hanging near the building's entrance, above Xavin's head.]
no subject
It's brisk! It toughens you up!
no subject
That's a good approach to training, I suppose.
no subject
Do you train too, then?
no subject
[She looks down, and then back up with a coy look.]
I have been searching for a sparring partner for some time, however.
no subject
[Now she's totally flustered, at a loss for words, not understanding any of this, especially not the sudden flush of heat in her cheeks, until she glances up past Xavin, and sees the mistletoe above them. Then, as she closes the rest of the space between the two of them, everything seems momentarily crystal clear, perfect and inevitable.]
no subject
[Xavin swallows thickly, and places her hand on Chie's face, angling the kiss a little better.
Then she seems to snap back into herself, and steps back.]
Oh. What?
no subject
Um. That's, uh, not exactly the kind of training I had in mind, haha...
[The laughter is very forced, and trails off quickly, leaving it very obvious just how stunned and confused she is at the moment.]

so it's in one of the city's parks that Finland finds himself, where he sits down and relaxes as Hanatamago jumps through snowdrifts and runs in circles around the tree beside them.
(of course, mistletoe grows on trees...) ]
Ah, Hanatamago, don't go so far. Be careful!
Pardon my intrusion, but I think he's adorable. I couldn't pass him up.
Finland!
GASP HDU
[ He returns the wave as Sheska approaches, standing up politely, while Hanatamago barks in greeting from her half-buried position. With the weather how it was, he hadn't expected to see anyone out at all, but company was always nice! ]
Hey, do you need help with all that?
/SHAAAAME
[ She does place the bags on one end of the bench for a little bit, though. No point in holding them while she was talking, and she wanted to pet Hanatamago if there was a pause in the romp. ]
I ran out of things to make cookies with. I'm hoping to find a variety that Belarus enjoys. Besides, one can never have too many cookies this time of year, right?
( ´ ▽ ` )ノシ
I wish I could help! But Belarus... Well, you could probably ask Lithuania, something tells me he'd have ideas!
You'll leave some cookies out on Christmas, right?
no subject
Oh, for... Saint Nicolas, isn't it? I suppose so! I hadn't thought about it, really. Do you leave some out, then?
no subject
They were right there! A full... regiment of toy soldiers, just marching along through the snow, bayonets fixed!
[He makes a bayoneting gesture with his extended finger, then frowns out at the snow and pulls out his sonic screwdriver, scanning for... well, scanning for something, that seems certain.]
no subject
What, really? Like somethin' out of Toy Story, though? You sure?
no subject
[He squints at the readout on the screwdrriver, then scans again, dissatisfied with whatever it's telling him.
They were right here, I swear.
no subject
[It's clear she'd a little dismissed the irregularity as a one-time thing, but if other toys were going all Buzz and Woody on the island, well then that's something different. While he peers at the screwdriver, Rose looks down at the snow he'd been scanning.]
Are those tracks?
no subject
[He straightened immediately, the frown vanishing from his face to be replaced by a brilliant grin, and he turned to take her hand, lacing their fingers together, obviously prepared to dash out into the snow along the path of the tracks... and froze, staring at her.]
no subject
What's wrong?
[Not... not that she's going to give much thought to what it could be, since she's really starting to focus on how nice it feels to hold his hand again, and it occurs to her that there are much better things they could be doing than chasing after someone's runaway toy soldiers.]
Doctor...
no subject
[He gives Rose his brightest smile, squeezes her hand gently, and before his superior Time Lord inetllect can compute what's going on, he's leaning in for a kiss.]

There was something about being in uniform that meant he didn't so much walk down the street as swagger, and as he moved now between the shopping district and the residential area, he felt relaxed, and almost cheerful. Who cared about a few loose penguins and flying snowballs? No Reapers, no Collectors, no pirate gangs or thresher maws -- even being on duty felt like a goddamn vacation.]

Does anyone want sodas?
[ The bears erupt in roars. Looks like all four bears want a Cola Coca. Teddie nods, and makes his way into the back hallway where the vending machines are located. ]
no subject
Ah, there's soda's too?
ugh sorry for the lateness
Ryoji-kun! Here, I have an extra.
[ Teddie hands him a soda. ]
i am always here to thread with you
they had just learned that they were real, after all, and he didn't want to overwhelm him. besides, it was just nice having company. he noticed how Teddie's expression lit up when he saw him, and it always made him feel wanted. like he had just come home. ]
That's really thoughtful of you.
How are things working out? Ah! I thought I'd come down and see for myself!

He's lying face-down on the couch in the living room he shares with Souji, doing his best to ignore the various Christmas-themed wildlife dancing cheerily around the apartment. He occasionally glances up at the TV just long enough to heave a melodramatic sigh and bury his face back in the cushions.
No, Polar Bear, he doesn't want a Coke, and YOU ARE RUINING EVERYTHING]

Hong Kong-san?
no subject
Sorry, I was gonna clean up some of this mess, but it just seems to get worse and worse.
[Only a partial untruth - probably he would have made an effort to straighten things up were he not busy feeling spectacularly sorry for himself. As if to emphasize the ridiculousness of their situation, a sprinkle of glittery snow takes that moment to fall from the ceiling and dust both of them lightly.
Hong Kong can't even manage a snide comment - just stares long-sufferingly at his roommate through his bangs.]
No way this nonsense would have flown at home.

Souji takes one good look at their surroundings and sighs. he'd already retired to not getting himself worked up about it, which is what he usually ends up retiring to. nonetheless it was still a little ironically hilarious.
so he sits at the end of the couch, looking down at his roommates face. ]
We'll worry about it when things settle down.
...
[ a pause, and he cracks a smile. ]
It's kind of funny, actually. Ah, but ... it seems like something else is bothering you.
