So, I need money, which means I need a job. I've looked around and done some odd lifting and carrying jobs, but I don't really have any - marketable talents other than being athletic. Anyone know of an opening for a highschool-grunt type job? I could probably do fast food, or a grocery store, or something. 

[She's come to a stop. Putting the phone on the ground, she sits down beside it and starts stretching. In the background is a sign indicating the start of the park's mile-long running loop.]

So yeah. Any recommendations?

I don't really have a resume. [Does shooting criminals count? Probably not.] But, uh, I'd really love to get a job. And I'm good with late hours and really strong.

Great! I'll let my supervisor know you're interested. If you want to come by the store tomorrow night I can get you an introduction. There are some forms to fill out, but it's pretty standard stuff!

Yeah, it looks like there's a couple different places I could work. Which is good! I'm really glad, it's always really useful to have an income and. Uh. It'll be good to have something to do, it's boring without anything to do. They did say I should attend school, but I don't know... [She rambles when nervous. It's a flaw.]

You could always take on more than one job if you're bored. The island's not big, but they need people to keep things going. It's useful for income if you want to build model robots.

The school thing is a little different, though.

It's just odd, I guess. School is just something else to do here. It doesn't seem as important as where I'm from.

I've been here over a year, and I can't count on my fingers all the things that were possibly dangerous that have happened. Volcanoes, animals, monsters, it's all happened.

Well, that's not too awful. I come from a pit of weirdness, so I'm a little used to it. As used to it as you get, anyways.

Uh, sure. Gotham City. Home of the Joker, half the organized crime in the country it feels like, way too many supervillains. If something hasn't been blown up or otherwise destroyed, it's a slow week.

Sometimes there are tentacle monsters. Those are always fun.

Wow, yeah, I guess everything would seem boring after that.

Maybe this place will feel a little like home. There's no supervillans, or villans unless you count the island itself. It seems to have a mind of its own. It's not the same, but it's more difficult to find a common enemy.

But we haven't had tentacle monsters, yet. I'll look forward to it.
