I've been told the one I'm sharing my quarters with is a... troll. His appearance is not that of the trolls that I have seen. They are ugly in nature and more often than not they steal from happy travelers. Most importantly, they hate us. Unless there is deception at hand, he is nothing like one!

What madness is it when one prefers to be a troll? Must I be as a toy to those who claim to be more real than a son of Asgard?

Oh, yes. I seek an answer to a request. I would be much happier with Sif sharing my rooms as my roommate. Can anyone tell me if this can be made possible?

But. There will be times when one you respect makes a wrong decision on an order. What then? Am I to sit by and wait while catastrophe strikes? That, I can and would not do.

Unless we're in the heat of battle and there's no time, you tell me and I'll listen. I'm not the most patient guy, but I'll either explain my reasons or give you some idea of why I can't.

But if you're joining my department, you're already trusting me to make the calls; and I'm trusting you to obey them. If you don't think you can do that, then you shouldn't sign on.

Look. I've been in your shoes. I didn't tell my commanding officer as much, but I sure as Hell thought it. Right now, you don't know me and I don't know you. neither one of us has any reason to believe the other one isn't an idiot. For all you know, I give stupid orders all the time. For all I know, you go off half-cocked on the least excuse.

Let's at least wait and have this discussion after the interview, when we've had a chance to size one another up. I like a recruit with the balls to threaten his commander with future insubordination before he;s even got the posting. If you're not an idiot, I think we'll work well together.
