Seriously? Do you know how many alternate universes I have been to? Telling me I'm fictional in this one mean nothing.

Hey Carol. Kate here. I'm trying to keep a low profile but to be honest so many of my friends have been showing up rather... publicly... that... Well I'm not sure how much longer I can keep up the "I'm just a normal teenage girl who happens to be friends with Loki and a time traveler and a guy who can blow up cars by thinking about it" line.

But I wanted to say hello, and warn you about me trying the secret identity thing.

Oh, and Hawkeye and the Avengers are most definitely from a different universe. They're still all really great though. Actually, they've been a bit more understanding of the Young Avengers than you guys were at first...

Hey Kate. I understand completely. I would say if you need anything to let me know, but I have a feeling you'd be more help to me than I'd be to you right now. How long have you been here?

That's to bad, I was hoping for some more friendly faces, but I'm glad they're alright.

And are we talking old, crotchety Loki, or the younger version that's poped up lately?

I've been here since the summer--right before school starts. Do you remember Victor Mancha? He's been here for over two years. It's kind of insane to think about. Seems like we can get pulled from different points in the time stream, and no one back home is any the wiser.

And it's the young Loki. He has a really good heart.

Name sounds familiar, but I can't say I do. Still that's crazy.

So they have school and everything here?

That's good. Not having a crazy Asgardian trying to take over everything has to make this place a little better.

Yep. School, community college, you can even own your own businesses here. It's like a little slice of normal. Except for the part where we had forced mistletoe kisses and I once turned into a pirate for a few days. I'm still not really sure what's going on with the weird island hijinks.

Of course, the only problem is that there's a big Loki here too. Seems to be from the same universe as the other Avengers.

You can pull off the pirate look, though the mistletoe thing sounds horrible.

Well, that's one bad guy with all of us here. I think we can handle him.
