You've gotta wonder.

Everyone ends up on this island, and we all know our homes. We can draw cute kindergarten pictures with the best of them and talk about them. And then we're told they're fake. No matter how real they were as we hit the pavement or woke up from nightmares, we're told the moment we get here that everything we grasped as a reality was fake. It's funny because when you think about it—and I spend a lot of time thinking about it, I mean why not, this place is boring as hell—who's telling us we've gotta believe in this place? I'm not saying that's a theory. But it seems like they just flat-out don't want us to.

Of course, there are other implications of what I'm saying.

You think you're new here? Who says you are? Any of us could've shown up at the right moment after being here for a while, and we just flat-out don't know it. I'm not saying what we do know is fake. I'm saying that maybe there's a base for what they can do to us. The randomly grabbed and taken away? Where do they go? And why the hell do they keep coming back?

Confusing. I thought so. So many theories go running along and I can't decide which one I like best.

But here's a list of things we do know, absolutely concrete:

1. What we remember from home—let's not bother discussing what "home" is right now, because boring—is solid and real.
2. If you leave, you come back not remembering anything. No hidey ho neighbors. You just forget it. Clean slate, baby, and why? What's the point?
3. We're here now. There isn't a rhyme or reason.
4. They claim we're fictional.
5. We don't know anything about this world except we can claim things are borked.

So here's a theory. There are multiple earths. This is just one of them. Whoever's got us captured is a nutjob who's gotta be taken out because he, or she, didn't bother taking world physics 101 before they started dragging our asses here. You might think it's more important to find answers? I've got a brother here who can find them for you.

But me? I'd rather free the leash. Get rid of the bonds.

Because right now, we're just a bunch of experiments gone wrong, and I don't wanna be the next guy dragged off for alien-autopsy for them to go "oops, my bad, guess we'll put you back." There are flaws to the systems, my friend.

And from where I'm standing, I've got one simple solution for them.

I hope that doesn't bother you! I'd like for us to stay friends.
