Why do you think we've been brought here?

More or less. The only people monitoring us here were the doctors and nurses when we 'arrived'. I haven't noticed anyone else trying to do that.

... you mean other than all the monitoring that is likely to be happening on all the network communication, hidden cameras, observation from the so-called non-fictional people as we go about our lives here, and the potential for the whole thing that keeps us trapped here to be a giant observation device?

....okay, aside from that. Meant in person, people who try to influence us to do one thing or another. Or put us in specific situations to see how we'd react.

At least, even though we know we're self-aware, we're not being killed for it.

They don't need to be administered by a specific person, after all.

I mean, for a while I thought that maybe those were just things that leaked in through whatever they're using to bring us here, but it's - regular.

Well, as pointed out above, there's always the 'conquer the world/universe/multiverse' angle.

Maybe that's where people go, after they leave here. This is just, like, a prep stage, while they figure out how to put us best to use.

I don't know too many people here, but you never know. Not everyone will react the same way to you rocking or shaking things up.
