Very sorry about the view everyone will be treated to while this conversation takes place.

[This video begins with a long, flickering stream of static and distorted voices.
Then, suddenly, clear sound:]

--but I can talk, too!

[The screen twitches, as if flinching away from the cheerful voice.
The world that comes into focus isn't a world at all more than what can best be described as blue, black, and some vague attempt at the colour of human skin.
Maybe it was flinching away from that instead.
The voice continues:]

Boys aren't very good candidates. However, in thinking about it, I suppose I can't afford to be picky when my primary demographic is so limited!

You can't guarantee your universe even exists, to be fair
Nor can you guarantee whatever "energy" you gather on New Moore is useable in the same manner, given our similar existential state of flux, or at all transportable.
With so many unknown variables, it seems like a waste of time.

So it is an obligation.
As in, not a compulsion. You can help it if you wish.
One more question.
How does it work on individuals who are, for all intents and purposes, immortal?
roseate: (☾ killed myself when I was young)

I suppose you're about to find out.
Forgive me if I don't believe you.
As far as I can see, none of this leads to a fortuitous outcome for us.
That's all I'm concerned with.

I'm being literal.
Strider's game-granted abilities should remain in place, as ours do.
Why do people have to form a contract in order to fight for you?
If it's energy you're collecting, couldn't a layperson interfere if necessary?
roseate: (Your mouth is open wide)

It wouldn't have to be every instance, in my position. If Dave wants to waste his days killing overpowered imps, that's his business.
Interference would only need to occur under special circumstances that can be monitored.
Strider is technically ectobiologically related to me, difficult as his current actions may make it to believe. He's our friend.
So yes.
Does that mean you couldn't object to intervention?

Fine.
That's all I needed to know.
Thank you for answering my questions.
