Like really am? Really-really? I got the entire you're-fictional bit but I'm going to keep my skeptical mindset about that one for a while and skip questioning that and go right to what planet are we on? Where on what planet? You can't be too sure these days. And the year? -Is The Doctor here?

Does anyone know?

[He's not at all sure about that. They're trapped on the island with all their random and dangerous events, where either of them could disappear at any time. If they ever get back, they have a host of other problems to deal with - including whatever lead them to Trensalor, and possessed her to jump into his timeline. In very few senses would he rate their present situation "okay".

But... sometimes it wasn't the absolute truth that was important. Right now, he just wanted to reassure her, and worrying about the future wouldn't do her any good right now.

He gives her his warmest smile.]

Of course we will, Clara! With you with me, we'll be more than "okay". We will be amazing!

[ She's aware how utterly horrible this seems. They're on some island he still hasn't figured out that does who knows what and managed to snag him. Twice. Three times.

Maybe she's just a piece of her again. And she'll die here, like she does. Though she wouldn't remember being her-her would she? She wasn't born this time and started all over. She knows. Right. Which means this is just another crazy probably dangerous situation they're in that he can get them out of. ...Right?

Though if they get out and everyone goes back to the correct timelines does she go back to being horribly lost inside of his? Either way if something happens, she'll make sure he's saved. Twice over since there are two.

She knows it might not be the truth but she'll put everything in the back of her head and go along with it now. It can be the truth until it gets/if proven wrong, can't it?

She smiles back, worrying about it a little less, and gives him a nod ]

Okay. ...Just amazing? We can use a few more adjective in there.

[That inspires a laugh and a deepening of his smile. He puts his arm around her companionably, looking forward and gesturing grandiosely with his other hand.] You never are easily satisfied, are you?

We will be fantastic! Molto bene! Astounding. Completely incredible!

[Softer, as he leans in his head to rest against hers.] My impossible girl.

[ She smiles up at him, warm and relaxed. ] Nope.

That sounds more like it.

[ Clara wrapped her arms around his middle in a hug ]

[He exhales in a sigh that is simultaneously saddened and happy, worried and content. His life has been such a big mess for such a very long time, especially these past couple years - in both parallel timelines, on the island and off the island.

Yet here, now, he's with someone very important to him - possibly more important than he himself realizes, given the future she's lived that he knows nothing about. He can almost let himself believe - if only for this moment, frozen in time - that this time, she won't leave. Everyone always does, eventually - whether they want to or not. But maybe, just maybe, this island has given him a reprieve, and for once, she'll be able to stay.

He returns her hug, his eyes closing and his arms wrapping around her almost hesitantly - but once they get there, he holds on tightly. He remains still, holding her and saying nothing, willing this moment to last.]
