[ she taps the screen once points it around her, showing the street she's on before aiming it back at herself ]
Where am I?
Like really am? Really-really? I got the entire you're-fictional bit but I'm going to keep my skeptical mindset about that one for a while and skip questioning that and go right to what planet are we on? Where on what planet? You can't be too sure these days. And the year? -Is The Doctor here?
Does anyone know?

[action]
[ She follows after him quickly ] Did you get an apartment too when you got here?
[action]
[He's walking brisking, but absentmindedly. His attentions and his focus, however obliquely, remain solidly on Clara.] Yes, they did. I still have an apartment, actually. With a lovely chap that happens to be the anthropomorphic representation of the country of England.
[He has long since forgotten that this is an unusual person to have as a roommate.] I can usually park her anywhere, but it's still occasionally safer to park her in my apartment.
[action]
[ She's walking right next to him, her attention wavers, eyes looking around every which way at the new environment. Looks just like a regular city. She darts her attention back to him every time he speaks up. ]
-Anthropomorphic what?
[action]
[Counting to himself -] one, three, forty-six, twenty seven, three hundred and eight... Ninety-eight of us on the island! Including a number of countries, trolls - though not the kind you're thinking of - fey, superhumans, and norse gods. Oh, and Sherlock Holmes!
Well... He's England. Literally. The spirit, the idea, all of it! The sum of the shared experiences and identities of the people of England, gathered and condensed into a living, breathing being.
[action]
...So does he know everything English? Is he going to know my name?
[action]
Well... he actually might, though not in the way you're thinking. He's from a different universe than us - so whatever he may know or not know about the people of England, he won't know you that way. However, in his world, I'm in a popular English television series. He might know you from that - I never really asked how much he knew. [Because he doesn't like thinking about his future.]
[action]
And you're a television series too? Does it air in chronological order or does it jump around? -Would there even be a chronological order to follow?
[action]
I dunno! Haven't seen it, myself. [There's a thoughtful pause.] It might be arranged on my personal timeline, or possibly the timelines of my companions. Neither would really be chronological, not in themselves and definitely not to the rest of the universe, but they would probably make more sense than anything else!
[action]
[ She can't figure out how it would ever follow her if it goes by companion ] Would they? I'd think you'd be the main character though. Maybe it just follows the TARDIS?
[action]
...Though I suppose I have been on TV more than my fair share.
[He gives her something of a sad smile.] I may be the more constant character, but my companions would be the main characters. You've always been the real heroes.
[action]
Have you? Ever been on a game show?
[ He thinks so highly of everybody he brings along but won't take the credit for once. It'd definitely be his show. ]
[action]
Well! Yes, actually. Twice. Wait. Three times? ...I don't think that time in Barcelona counts. Three times, then!
Though strictly speaking, I was never really chosen for Big Brother, and I left long before it was over. I was really good at Jeopardy, though!
[action]
You would be. Did you win?
[action]
Well... no. But in my defense, Helen Keller was an absolute genius. I never stood a chance.
[action]
[action]
Would you ever want to be on a game show? If we ever get out of here, we could sneak you on. Wouldn't even need anything more than the psychic paper!
