Okay, so this is great and all (I mean at first I thought I'd had some bad pot and this was some kind of trip, but it's been three hours and nothing is melting) but where the hell is everyone?
Dad? Nora? I will seriously even take Mr. Friendly Zombie right now. I don't recognize anyone here.
Also, an important question. Where can I get a gun? I'm feeling all kinds of naked without one.

That...
Didn't do anything. He didn't even feel it. Nice try, R. He's a little disappointed that did nothing but all well. What was he expecting? His skin do show the red under it like hers did?
Le sigh. Or it would be a sigh if he would sigh that was more of an air-y little grunt. You suck at sighing, R. ]
Yeah. [ Her dad would probably shoot him anyway. ]
action
She watches what he does, her eyebrows faintly drawn together, but she's not surprised when he doesn't get the same result.] Hm. [A moment passes, then she lets go of her beer and places her hand over his - the skin of her palm is damp and cold from the bottle.]
action
That moment is spent where he just stares, like he does. Lost in a thought about it. His eyes dart to his hand and makes a very slight motion like he was going to jerk it away before deciding against it. He scrunches his face up slightly. Julie, cold damp hands are not as pleasant as- Wait. Now we're confused. ]
action
Can you feel that?
[He could, couldn't he? Though her voice is a little hushed there's an excitement in it. If he can feel it, then that's new and different and it means something.]
action
Or it's just he's temperature sensitive now. Huh. Way better and explains the rain. And means something. Not sure what exactly but it does. ]
Yes...
[ Oh man. Now what? ]
action
Still cold, still a little damp.]
What about this?
action
Not in a bad way though it's just. Okay. He has no idea what to do here. ]
Uh-huh.
action
... and abruptly puts it against his neck.]
action
-FUCK THAT'S COLD. Oh my god. Why. He pulls his shoulders up completely and makes an uncomfortable face, turning himself to get away from it and---
slips right out of his chair. ]
Uhh...
action
[The bottle is abandoned in favour of her sliding out of her chair to help him and yes, yes she is laughing. She's laughing so hard she can't stop, in fact, and she's definitely going to be no help at all in getting him up off the floor.
There might be some tears there, too, quickly rubbed away with the heel of her hand. Something about it is cathartic in a way she can't explain.]
Oh my God, R...
action
-Is she laughing at him? Oh my god. She's laughing at him. She's laughing really hard, actually. ...Guess that would be pretty funny. His mouth twitches into a smile. When was the laugh time she laughed that hard? ]
Oops.
action
She looks at him through her fingers and giggles, and doesn't give one single flying fuck if people might be staring. Again.]
Sorry, that was my fault.
action
Th--that's ..okay. [ No worries. ]
action
Here. I'll sit down and act like a normal person now, okay?
action
That was... funny.
action
Well, thank you, but I won't do it again too soon. I might get us kicked out of the bar.
action
Ehem.
He keeps moving his own beer back and forth now. Poking it with a finger. Cold beer, cold beer. You are so cold. ]
action
She knows that he killed Perry.
Yet.. she can't find it in herself to hate him for that. Perry was already resigned to death and its inevitability and in a way.. she'd already mourned him long before he was killed.
Julie watches R in the way she usually does - intent, wondering just what he is. She's asked that question many times and never got an answer. What is he..?
Maybe he's just R.]
Hey. You gonna show me around when we're done here?
action
action
She would definitely like to see the beach.
Julie finishes her beer quickly and stands up with a pleasant buzz in the back of her mind. She'd been making small talk (very small, and mostly from her) but now she's all business.]
What are you showing me first?
action
Pretty nature things.
Actual people shopping things.
That place where you live
THINGS... ]
Hrm... [ A shrug. We're going to wing it, Julie. ]
action
Pick something. Anything.
action
Store. [ Store? Okay store. Shopping it is. Julie has things to pick from that are all fresh and new and working and not dirty. Which store? We haven't thought that far ahead. ]
action
[She looks down at her clothes. Though they're clean they're old and worn and the top has a few small holes in it. Okay, R, that's not such a bad idea.]
Huh. Okay, lead the way.
action
[ Not necessarily clothes shopping but he sees where she's going with that. Holes and whatnot. His are--- ...uh. Ya know. Anyway.
He pushes himself to his feet and stares at the bartender for a second. Wait. He's supposed to pay this guy. Put it on the tab, dude. Does he have a tab? They'll sort that out later. The guy isn't going to bother him about it now. Bye bar. He's walking out after taking a hold of Julie's hand. This way. ]
