So, while we're having a bit of a quiet time, sort of, question to ponder and/or discuss:
Why do you think we've been brought here?
Inquiring minds want to know your opinion.

I suppose it depends on how long it keeps being funny, or entertaining to them. I wonder if that's why everything keeps going mad from time to time.

I just wish we had some actual, reliable information. That's all. Hence asking what everyone's thinking.

I wish we did too. Nothing that anyone has tried seems to get us anywhere. Violent methods are ignored just the same as peaceful ones. It gets discouraging, and tends to only foster more conclusions that this isn't something they're doing for our benefit. I'm sure that if they just opened up, yes there'd be some yelling and upset, but then it would all be out in the open and if they needed help, we'd find a way to help.

Well, ah, I can tell you that no amount of asking, begging, pleading, or turning up at their offices every day will wheedle any more information out of the hospital staff or the visitor's center staff. From personal experience, I'm afraid. I know others have tried as well. Some with stronger personalities and less respect for boundaries than I.
There was also a man here a while ago, named Erik Lensherr, who tried a peaceful protest march on the visitor's center, but something went wrong and someone was shot. Then he became more and more violent. He picked out a group to go get information. By any means necessary. A lot of this we found out later, because he put on a face of being a brusque but fairly calm man most of the time. But he attacked the visitor's center. Destroyed it entirely, right down to the foundation. They've rebuilt most of it, but they're still housing the staff on the bottom floor of the hospital for now. Actually, I think they're looking to rent out the space. Which seems odd, but... Ah, at any rate, that didn't work either. Chief Beifong brought down Mr. Lensherr and he was imprisoned until he was released. No criminal charges were levied, but there was a private hearing. We never heard anything from the government about it since.
There was also an attack on the hospital at about the same time, but I never heard if anything was discovered there, either. They stay very quiet, I'm afraid.

But has really nobody tried to apply detective work to it all, rather than attack... blindly?
And I'm sorry about all the futile tries. That must've taken a lot of time and frustration.

I'm sure there's been more subtle methods, but if there have, they haven't been shared with the general public, and I'm afraid I haven't any of those skills personally. I tried to look into it at the library and such, but there's nothing there. Nothing at all. It was a little disturbing, actually, that they don't have anything of their personal history. I had Mr. Jarvis help me search as well, and he couldn't find anything either. But other than researching, I'm not a detective. And about as transparent as glass, as people keep telling me.
Thank you... I know they were just doing their jobs, but it's distressing. Particularly when you've just lost someone important.

And, yeah. I can imagine. Do... did you have anyone to talk with, about that?

They have some printed transcripts from the start of the Network - I suppose to preserve them if the Network should wipe itself at some point - but there's nothing older than that. There aren't any fictional stories there either, not even for the kids. Well, I mean, some for bedtimes and things, I suppose, but it's mostly unnamed children seeing things in nature. Not really a story so much as an easier way to get facts about the ecosystem across, if that makes sense. I haven't seen anyone from the non-fictional school while I was there, but I tend to get pretty wrapped up in my reading.
I did, thank you. I've managed to make some very good friends here, and they were kind enough to put up with me for a bit. It made a big difference to have a welcoming ear, so I've been trying to offer that to other people too, though no one's taken me up on it yet.

I hate being lied to.
But I'm glad for the fact that you've got friends. I think it's really horrible when one has none.
