[Did you hear that scream? If not, she's not sure how you missed it while her windows and door were wide open.
Frying pan in hand, she scrambles away from her angry adversary, fumbling to get her phone to call out to her fellow technologically-stunted acquaintance.
There's a terrible noise in the background as she puts out a mass call over the network for a single young man.]
Hiccup! Can you hear me? The sink, it... it's roaring at me-- no, growling! There must be a monster or something terrible living in it, and I don't know what to do, and it won't stop!
[That's right folks, Rapunzel has unfortunately discovered the garbage disposal. And who can be bothered to read the unopened mail on the counter when the sink immediately next to it has "come alive" and is on the offense?]

[ checking his own sink. THIS LOOKS NON-MONSTERY. ]
Should I come over?
audio
That might be a good idea; it's not stopping.

[ you can time him he'll be there in 1 minute ]

[Is the front door partially open for no good reason in particular? Yes, yes it is. Rapunzel hasn't been very good about closing it while she's home; she doesn't really see a reason why it should be closed then.
Should Hiccup venture in, he'll find her in the kitchen immediately to the left, standing about seven feet back from the sink, frying pan extended for safety's sake.]

...Did you try attacking it? Maybe it wants to hurt you!
[audio]
It looks to be in the pipes, so I can't exactly hit it...

It is more likely to be one of Midgard's numerous devices.
[Cause if it's a monster she'll be there to stab it, but having put her sword through one microwave...]

[Though it does hum pleasantly. The sudden and unexpected terrible noise is what has convinced Rapunzel that there's something else in the sink besides drains.]
[Audio]
You must have simply turned on the garbage disposal. There should be a switch - much like the ones that turn on the lights - somewhere near the sink.
[Audio]
[All the same, she finally looks back at the wall; indeed, she had turned on a switch hoping for some more light in the kitchen, so that makes sense.]
So all I have to do is pull the lever back down and it will stop?
[Audio]
That's correct, just pull the lever and it should stop.
[Audio]
[She sets the phone down and carefully makes her way to the wall, quickly flicking the switch with the extended reach of the frying pan. The noise whirrs to a stop, and there's a loud sigh of relief as she pads back to the mobile.]
It worked! Thank you so much.
But... um, don't people scrape their food from the plates before they wash them? I don't see why there ever needs to be something so horrible-sounding in the sink.
[Audio]
Well, as long as you and your roommate are good about cleaning your plates, you probably never need to turn it on again.
