[And Equius will set out! Darn it, he can find one human female! Who ... oh, wait, he has no idea what she looks like. Well, he'll figure it out! Somehow.]

[ Yeah, Roxy is halfway to the ice creamery before she realizes she isn't sure what Equius looks like either. Well, he's a troll, and thanks to Rosie's popularity, it's pretty unlikely there are any unknown trolls out there. So she'll just keep an eye out. It's sorta like a blind date!

When Roxy slaps eyes on Equius, she changes her mind entirely about the whole dte thing. Why does he look.. wet. What the heck, this dude. Nearing the troll, slows considerably, debating if she really wants to have a milkshake with a troll as big as a drone.

Low whistle as she approaches him. ]

uh, are you supposed to be Mister Z? Why are you so ginormous and scary?

[ She has her strife deck just in case he changed his mind about the whole fighting thing. Apprehensive, not gonna come closer than a few feet. ]

[Indeed, Equius is sort of hulking for a 6 and some sweep troll - it's a little scary to think how big he might have gotten, allowed to reach his full adult size. The broken horn, teeth, and dark glasses probably don't help make him any less intimidating, nor the very serious expression on his face when he turns at her whistle. He's been systematically looking up and down the street, and approaching random humans, which has been frustrating, to say the least.]

You are Lalonde? Yes, I can see the resemblance. [He cocks his head to one side thoughtfully, then pulls a white cloth from his sylladex and mops his brow, before putting it away again, a little self-conscious about his size.]

I told you, I believe. I am very STRONG. [He doesn't raise his voice on the last word, but it is emphasized, the capital letters clearly audible in the way he says it.]

Roxy. [ Helpful correction- been here with her ecto relations long enough to know the dual last names can get confusing. Hand on her hip whe she adds another pointer for this behemouth's collection of knowlege- ]

So? I'm strong too and you don't see me hulking out.

[ Waves that aside and presses on aside, motioning for Equius to follow her. ]

Milkshake place is around here. You go out with human girls you never me before a lot? That's kinda shady, dude.

[ Roxy, what does that say about you?? ]

I have never met any human girls before! [protests, looking around as though he expects someone to jump out any any moment and berate him for meeting with her, though he does follow her obediently enough] Or human boys! Not really. How am I supposed to acquaint myself with any humans if I don't meet them properly? I fail to see how this is in any way subversive.

[ Impressive look over her shoulder that this guys can equate shady with subversive. Might be some teaching him yet. ]

Why are you into "acquainting" with us? You just said trolls were the superior race, I'm not agreein or anythin, but it seems weird to say we suck as a race and then agree to meet one of them for smoothies.

I am uncertain of your status. [admits, then adds] But being inferior to trolls does not make a species inferior in general. I have been very impressed with certain feats I saw our humans engage in.

[adds, a little dejectedly (not that it's easy to tell he's dejected, since his expression doesn't change greatly, and with his glasses it's hard to tell he's looking at the ground)] Besides, I am not well liked by other trolls.

What kinda feats? We are pretty baller.

[ Well, that's kinda a bummer, not being well-liked. Not really something Roxy can identify with, being the only human girl before, and now a popular member of the homecoming court in high school. Oh yes Equius, you missed Homecoming. Karkat was Homecoming Queen. No, I'm not kidding.

Offhandedly, she'd pat you on the shoulder but he's way too tall. ]

Screw those guys, other trolls are assholes. [ Skeptical look. ] You're not an asshole too, right?

[Equius would not be at all surprised to hear that about Karkat.]

I have been told I can be very unpleasant, and am overly obsessed with the hemocaste system. [solemnly] Though I have questioned some of my beliefs since my death.

Not really a point getting pumped about the blood junk here, right? I mean, there's like a handful of you dudes left, seems like a shitty thing to be basing stuff on when you're not exactly inundated with buds.

[ Shrug. Reaching the door to Robbin Baskins, pushes it open with a shoulder and bounds inside. ]

Anyway, I think the trolls here are pretty decent. They've only made me mad and cry liiiiike once, and they were pretty quick to apologize. So maybe they're not all lunatic despots.

[ Hops up to a seat at the counter, pats the seat next to her. ]

He moves in an oddly careful manner - he hasn't had so much of a problem with constantly breaking things now he's been dead for awhile, but old habits are hard to break.] Well, no, only the Empress would be the despot, would couldn't all hold absolute power.

I said "other" not "all"! Like, the trolls where I'm from were bad news. But the ones here aren't. They're just like people, there are good ones and shittier ones.

[ Beckons a server over- sadly this isn't a day her sweet lovely Rose petal is working. ]

That is because we are people. [corrects her, then freezes as she asks about flavors. Oh no! Is this an emergency? It sounds like an emergency!]

Vanilla? [That's the white flavor, right?]

[ Little face, that's a boring choice. But orders it anyway and a strawberry one for herself. ]

So you died? That sounds sucky. You don't even have the cool pjs to show for it.

Yes, the highblood executed me. [hand raises to his throat unconsciously, claws resting there briefly] But I no longer had my dream form to retreat to. So now I am just dead. It really hasn't been too bad, just a little lonely.

[He misses Nepeta a lot. And Aradia, who doesn't seem to want to have much to do with him. And even Gamzee - for all the dude murdered him, he was one of Equius's only friends before the game.]

Which highblood? There's kinda a couple.

[ Waitress comes back with their milkshakes, unceremoniously take a lip sip of her own. ]

Was it Meenah? The girl fishtroll one. She choked me out once, she's kinda murder happy.

[ Pushes the vanilla milkshake closer to Equius. ]

Here dude, you just drink outta the straw. Go nuts.

No, Gamzee Makara. [pauses, then takes the milkshake gingerly, peering at it - it surely does look like thick milk all right. Exciting!]

He did choke me to death, though, with my own bowstring. [Okay, just in case, is not going to hold onto the glass at all, just drink from the straw and-

You'll just excuse him while he blisses out, won't you, and makes the most obscene happy groan and then accident cracks the whole counter where he's holding on to it.]
