New Moore 103rd Homecoming Ball

Who: Everyone.
What: The fancy anniversary/homecoming ball.
When: Saturday evening, November 9th.
Where: Four Saison's Ballroom.



[ You made it to the ball. Presumably, you will have an awesome time and/or be completely miserable.

Through the doors is a giant dancefloor, with a small orchestra on stage. They're playing beautiful music and later in the evening they'll be replaced with a DJ who will then pump up some sick beats. You can be like hot damn that's my jam.

This ball is full of fancy decorations, fine dining, dancing of all sorts, alcohol??, tears, everyone trying to look their best, and Dinkerton wearing a golden crown and high-fiving a crowned Coulson. The tables are circling the dance floor if you're going to sit down the entire time or you need to eat that food. ]

[The police chief is in attendance, not wearing her uniform for once, but a lovely, elegant grey gown instead. She stays primarily along the sidelines, keeping a close eye on the punch bowl and occasionally patrolling the edges to pause and have a word with the single on-duty cop. The small frown creasing her forehead and her slightly preoccupied air make her somewhat less approachable, but she pauses along one wall with a glass of water every now and then to watch the dance floor.]

[Lin's pleased, and secretly a little relieved, to see Carol, and nods to her friend.]

Well enough. Nothing more than harmless antics. Why, did you see something I didn't?

Nothing. Actually I was kinda hoping you had.

[She looks out onto the dance floor]

Why are they so well behaved now?

[Lin snorts softly.]

If you're asking what's going on inside people's heads, you're asking the wrong person. For that you want... [Something in her face tightens, an underlying tension briefly surfacing before being stuffed back down.] Mm. Probably Coulson. But it's probably that they need to get rid of tension and be around people. It's an excuse to get dressed up and see other people dressed up too, focus on something other than the latest island trial.

[She's just glad that she can be this close to Carol without them hissing and snarling at one another.]
