Ok! Here is the post for collecting all your kissing logs! If you want to do individual Network posts and then lead in to kissing that way, that's fine, but if you're looking to do a straight up log, this is the place to do it. That way we don't flood the community with all the log posts.

[Tony tilts his head to follow the trail of the greenery up the tower. Bruce was right. It was very new. Very odd, too. But odd had become the island motto, more or less, so he took it in stride. As long as the ivy didn't pull Bruce's memory away, it was almost fine by him.]

Botanical Gardens is taking over. I am going to need to have a very serious talk with their representatives about property infringement.

[Really, nothing surprises him about this place any more. Plants appearing out of nowhere? It's practically nothing compared to the island's other ordeals. So... he shrugs and is about to continue on his way, when something else sprouts out of the side of the tower.

Oh, it's mistletoe. Well, that's festive, he guesses.

And then, before he can think about what he's even doing and weigh the possible consequences, he grabs Tony by the front of his shirt and pulls him into a kiss.]

[It is considerably stranger to watch a plant grow like one of those long-exposure videos sped up, and Tony had been watching with a mix of scientific fascination and, well, let's face it that was just cool, when suddenly Bruce's lips were on his and oh.

Yeah.

Tony could definitely be okay with this. In fact his hangups, if he ever tried to have any beyond not pushing Bruce, had vanished with the plant's appearance.

Some corner of his mind whispered island and the rest quite emphatically told it to go fuck itself.

So he twisted his own hand into Bruce's shirt and made no shy, simple gesture of kissing back. His head turned just enough to fit his lips closer and he took full advantage of the moment, feeling them out with light movements of his lips and unabashedly pulling Bruce's lower lip between his own.

[For as out-of-practice as he is when it comes to kissing, Bruce is not all that shy about it either. Maybe he ought to be, especially when Tony has practically written the book on the subject, but it doesn't really matter at the moment. Tony doesn't seem to mind and, well... that's one of two problems he doesn't have to worry about.

The other isn't as easy to get past, of course. He notices it almost immediately--the rise in his heart rate. It's not something he can ignore, but he's not in the danger zone yet, so he knows they're safe for a little longer...

His lips part as his fingers slide into Tony's hair, and the tiniest of smiles tugs awkwardly at the corner of his mouth as he realises he wouldn't even care if someone were to see them. Is that the mistletoe talking? Maybe, but it's not as if his other secrets haven't been broadcasted to the entire island.]

[Tony keeps problem two in the back of his mind often. But it is always in the back of his mind. Far from where he calls it up often or considers it much at all. Bruce has control, and Tony believes in his control with perhaps more faith that exactly wise.

So it is a good thing Bruce is thinking about it.

Because Tony just makes a pleased sound and takes full advantage of parted lips, his tongue testing how far Bruce is going to let him go, not in some casual, hesitant progression, but with a sudden dive forward to deepen the kiss.

And it is partially the mistletoe, and partially a lot of repressed desire he's been keeping, that has his hands slipping to Bruce's sides to pull him closer. Later he might feel a pang of a reminder that he was going to try and keep a clear head and take it easy when it came to Bruce. Much as Tony did enjoy sex. A lot. That was not what this... what the relationship he was trying to make with Bruce, was based on. Which would make past Tony winder if present Tony was drunk, and future Tony angry at him for the carpal tunnel he would be getting soon.

It was worth it, and if the conversations and time they spent together so far had not been enough to make him certain of that, this kiss really was. Bruce could be as out of practice as he wanted, the fingers in his hair and the lips parted for his own were leaving the once playboy just the slightest bit weak in the knees, and wasn't that embarrassing.]

[There's no protest at the surge of tongue or to the fact that he is being pulled closer, though it's a little surprising. It oughtn't be; he's encouraging it after all. It might not be entirely on purpose, but there's no way he can blame it all on the mistletoe, either. Because that's where he assumes this urge to act on things is coming from, and if it were anyone else, he would probably be trying to resist.

It's almost hesitant, the way his tongue responds to Tony's; but after a few moments, it does. His other hand finds a new rest as well, slipping around his waist. As close as they are, he can feel the hard edge of the arc reactor against his chest and for some reason, that is what finally causes him to break the kiss.]

Jesus.. I'm sorry...

[The urge to continue is definitely there, and he doesn't seem inclined to push Tony's hands away, so the apology is mostly due to the fact that he needs to stop. Or at least slow down.]

[Tony pulls back, reluctantly. It takes effort and a considerable amount of it, to not just keep going. But even under the extra, unneeded encouragement of the island's own version of mistletoe, Tony knows what could conceivably happen if he pushes too far. Neither of them would enjoy that result and the likelihood of Bruce ever trying again seemed a lot slimmer if it came to that. It would potentially be months more work to get him back to a confidence in Tony's safety to allow even this. And honestly, he was the only one particularly concerned for that safety.

Tony licked his lips and stared a moment at Bruce's, considering how far was too far for more of a moment then he ever usually bothered to think about. Maybe Bruce was a good influence on the other scientist. Or he was just a bit clouded with his mind thinking of a few extra things in the long list of constant background thoughts and plans and personal mental radios.

And then Tony's hands move to a more harmless position on Bruce's hips and he kisses him again, this time without the same insistent fervor. And it's short, and it lingers a bit longer than he really should, and then Tony's pulling away and clearing his throat, glancing up at the mistletoe as if only just noticing it.]

Looks like the island takes its traditions very literally.
