Ok! Here is the post for collecting all your kissing logs! If you want to do individual Network posts and then lead in to kissing that way, that's fine, but if you're looking to do a straight up log, this is the place to do it. That way we don't flood the community with all the log posts.

Instructions:

1. Post your character's name. One reply per character so that they're all neatly organized.
2. When you tag to a character's thread, put your participating character's name in the subject line.

[She follows his finger upwards towards the mistletoe and grimaces.

Normally, she loves Christmas, even with the silly little traditions like mistletoe. She always does her best to avoid being caught up in that particular process, but all the rest? Normally, she's a fan. Right now? She's not so sure anymore.]

That's mistletoe. You've never seen it before?

[She eyes him dubiously, also standing perfectly still. Well. She supposed he hadn't spent all that much time on earth, when he wasn't trying to take it over with an army of alien bugs.

Oh. Right. That was a thing that she knew now.

She would have to ask him about it when they weren't trying to kiss each other so damn much. Maybe.]

I have heard of it, but I know not why it is seemingly the source of this vexing impulse we are suffering from.

[Last time he dealt with mistletoe someone was seriously injured, and it had nothing at all to do with kissing]

If you find yourself standing beneath it with someone, you're supposed to kiss. It's a tradition. Except for the kiss is usually of your own volition.

[She eyes the plant warily, almost disapprovingly.]

I've never seen anyone go out of control like this.

[There were worse people she could have kissed, but having her free will taken away, even if only for a few moments, was not something she was willing to oblige.]

If we simply make sure to stay away from it, perhaps it will not happen again.

[He is none to thrilled about the loss of self control, any chance to avoid repeating the situation would be pursued.

[She nods stiffly, planning to stand her ground, though the almost magnetic pull towards him is almost unbearable. She's almost positive that has nothing to do with her. She's never been one for kissing strangers -- or, in this case, loose acquaintances.]

Or maybe we can find a way to get rid of it.

[Because if it doesn't go away, she's really not sure just how long she can stay where she is.]

I am not going near it again.

[He tries a few spells]

And my magic seems to have no effect.

[She raises an eyebrow. Lack of free-will and all, she's still going to take the opportunity to be miffed at that.]

It wasn't that awful, was it? At least leave me some pride.

[She eyes the mistletoe again, edges a step to the right, and feels a little better. A little more normal, but not much.]

I'm with you, though. No offense, of course. I'm just not the kind of girl who nuzzles up to people on the street.

I do not go around kissing random mortals unless I have good cause to.

[It had not been bad. It had simply been unexpected.]

[Mortal, huh. Well, at least she could still pass for that, even if "human" didn't feel that applicable anymore.]

Agreed. We'll just back away.

[She puts her hands up, taking another step back despite her body's protests. Part of her would much rather be walking towards him.]

And here I'd been planning to thank you for being such a good sport when we'd lost our memories. I was thinking more along the lines of a thank you card, though. Maybe a muffin basket.

[Whoops, you got some serious kissing instead.]

[She keeps her eyes trained on him as she, too, continues to back away, watching him warily as though she's afraid either one of them might change their mind and pounce forward again at any moment. That urge, though, is steadily fading the more distance she puts between them.]

All right. I'm going to go my way, and you can go yours. Oh. And a little advice? Maybe polish up that "Silver-Tongue" line a bit. It needs some work.

[Yeah. Even now, even in the presence of someone who is supposedly a god, she really just doesn't know when to quit.

No wonder people want her dead.]

[He rolls his eyes]

[She raises both hands again.]

Just trying to do you a favor. I wasn't exactly in my right mind 'in the moment.'

[It was actually very enjoyable, but hell if she's going to admit that out loud just now.]
