Ok! Here is the post for collecting all your kissing logs! If you want to do individual Network posts and then lead in to kissing that way, that's fine, but if you're looking to do a straight up log, this is the place to do it. That way we don't flood the community with all the log posts.

Instructions:

1. Post your character's name. One reply per character so that they're all neatly organized.
2. When you tag to a character's thread, put your participating character's name in the subject line.

These mistletoe plants sure knew what they were doing. After frowning for a moment, Sirius pulled out his wand and eyed the one closest to them thoughtfully. He should cut himself one of those.

However, that plan would have to work, because suddenly he saw just how entertaining a reaction he was getting from Anita.

"Oh, really. Now, that just doubles the pleasure."

"I shouldn't have told you," she said immediately, though her hand hid the fact that she was smiling all the same. Having a sense of humor about all of this was vital, really. "Now you're never going to stop picturing it."

"I might, you'd just have to replace it with an equally appealing visual." Sirius grinned, relieved that they didn't seem to have any trouble finding there easy communication again.


"So who was it?"

[animator]

"Kate," she said flatly, shaking her head as if to tell him no, no more visuals were going to happen. "My partner at the police department. We didn't have our memories at the time."

[alwaysimpure]

"Ah."

He paused for a moment, then raised his eyebrows as he connected the dots. "Oohh... That has to make for a comfortable work environment."

She cringed visibly. "We haven't spoken since then."

[alwaysimpure]

"I can imagine. There's someone I'm not sure what to say to, either."

Sirius offered her a grin. "Not you, though. Very good technique."

[animator]

She grinned in reply, the blush fading from her cheeks. Talking about Kate embarrassed her, it was so far out of her comfort zone, but Sirius' flirting, she could take. Teasing was fast becoming the norm for them, and his cheerful way of doing it was far preferable to Jean-Claude's heavy-handed adoration.

"You weren't so bad yourself. Very close to being a kiss to write home about."

"Just very close? You mustn't be much into writing letters."

Sirius smirked, obviously not actually meaning that complaint. He looked up at the mistletoe again thoughtfully.

"I should cut one down and take a closer look at it."

"I prefer phone calls. Quick and too the point. I don't like to get too wordy," she quipped with a knowing smirk. She followed his gaze upwards, curious.

"Yeah? Think you might be able to analyze it?"

"I've always liked owls, myself. They should have some here."

So much more...efficient. Well. More something, at any rate.

"Should be possible. It has magical properties for sure, the question is whether they can be distilled and used somehow."

She leveled a challenging look in his direction, amused.

"What, going to try and brew your own love potions for that special someone?"

[alwaysimpure]

"No, actually I was just going to see whether the material could be used as wand cores or if..." Sirius trailed off when he realized that he'd been a bit too much in brilliant wizard mood to notice the teasing.

Now that he caught on, he shook his head with a chuckle. "Oh, bugger off."

She put her hands up in defense, biting her lip to hold back a laugh. He'd made that one far too easy.

"You can't blame a girl for asking. It seemed suspect."

[alwaysimpure]

"I've never used a love potion on anyone!" Sirius declared, shaking his head, "Sure had to be careful around Valentine's though. When in doubt, let your friends taste test your food." He paused, then added with a smirk, "With or without their knowledge."

[animator]

She grinned. "Lots of girls trying to slip you something? Did your friends ever thank you for getting them a little action? You know, if the potions were successful."

[alwaysimpure]

"Mostly they weren't very grateful for their temporary infatuation with girls that wanted me." Sirius shrugged, as if this was simply beyond his comprehension. "They were high maintenance, I suppose. That and some of the potions weren't done well and had strange effects."

[animator]

"What, they didn't want your leftovers? Appalling," she teased, folding her arms over her chest. "What kind of effects?"

[alwaysimpure]

"Can differ widely, given there is a few different potions and even more ways to mess them up. Once it was pink hair."

Apparently that one is a good memory, judging by his grin.

"I can think of a few people I'd like to see with pink hair," she mused aloud, clearly enjoying the visual. "Might humble them a little."

[alwaysimpure]

"Not many people can pull it off, it's true." Sirius tossed his hair on cue, then just chuckled and shrugged. "Point is; do not worry, love potions aren't currently on my to do list."

"Well, good. I'm glad to hear you're a reasonably upstanding gent, then. Stick to doing things the old fashioned way, I think it suits you." Not that someone like Sirius would ever need a love potion, as far as she was concerned -- but she was pretty sure that was the mistletoe talking.

[alwaysimpure]

"Possibly." Sirius laughed and shrugged. "Besides, I'm not really that eager to, you know, find anyone. Even if when I'm amnesiac I apparently assume I'm dating whoever I wake up with."

He paused and rubbed the back of his head. "Which is a fair assumption, I suppose."

[animator]

"I can't blame you for assuming that if you woke up together. What else are you supposed to think? Most people aren't that comfortable with someone else in their personal space like that. I know I wouldn't be."

[alwaysimpure]

"Remus is sort of an exception to the rule."

Sirius looked up at the mistletoe.

"Outside of things like that, I'm not very comfortable with touching, these days."
