Ok! Here is the post for collecting all your kissing logs! If you want to do individual Network posts and then lead in to kissing that way, that's fine, but if you're looking to do a straight up log, this is the place to do it. That way we don't flood the community with all the log posts.

"I'm just a realist."

It was an easy-going smile, although it didn't quite manage to reach his eyes the way it had before his memory came back. He could fake it well enough, but he was far from carefree and that sunk in even more when he realized how much better he had felt without knowing himself.

"I had to practice first, apparently."

He laughed, shaking his head and looking up at the mistletoe again.

"There's one way to cement a friendship."

"Let's see if that practice paid off."

Later on, she would be severely annoyed at just how forward this whole mess had made her. She was normally incredibly direct, but not about this kind of thing. Not about anything that implied intimacy. That was way too personal.

Yet here she was, all the same, willingly stepping forward and offering Sirius a coy smile before she leaned in to kiss him, her hand resting against his jawline with her index finger slipping beneath his ear, the rest curling into his hair.

There had been a time when Sirius had been fairly easy with the snogging. Not quite as much so as he might have boasted in front of his friends, but enough to not have to exaggerate overly much.

Things had changed though, they had changed completely and would never be the same. It had been a lot easier to kiss people while he didn't remember all of that.

Nevertheless, he still managed, for now, to push all that away and just kiss her, even if he kept his hands to himself more than he might have normally, fingers tangled in her curls, but his other hand abandoning the movement half-way through as he wanted to reach for her hip.

She was grinning from ear to ear by the time the kiss broke, though she didn't bother to pull away, her lips still hovering close to his own. It was safe to assume, she felt, that this particular kiss would rank high on her list of encounters, though as soon as the thought occurred to her, she shook her head and took half a step back.

"That... keeps happening."

Sirius gave a lock of her hair a light tug before letting go, licking his lips and then arching an eyebrow.

"That you kiss the man of your dreams?" He asked, modestly, smirking and hoping they could just fall back into their pattern of easy teasing. He was comfortable with that, for the most part.

His attempt to keep the mood light was appreciated, and earned him a smirk in reply. With others, she had felt on edge after giving in to those mistletoe-inspired whims, but Sirius made it easy to relax, to play it off like nothing out of the ordinary had happened at all.

"Yeah, exactly that," she informed him. "You're the third 'man of my dreams' I've kissed today. What's a girl to do, I ask you?"

"I'd say 'dream less', but it actually sounds like a pretty sweet deal."

He ever so discreetly took a step away from under the mistletoe, then winked at her, because he just remembered a certain conversation from their memory-less time.

"No woman?"

She, too, took a step back to give the both of them some distance, and instantly felt better. The magnetic pull she had begun to feel started to fade a bit, which she was grateful for.

She raised an eyebrow at him in reply, dubious, before actually turning red in the cheeks and crossing her arms, one hand coming to rest over her mouth.

"One woman."

These mistletoe plants sure knew what they were doing. After frowning for a moment, Sirius pulled out his wand and eyed the one closest to them thoughtfully. He should cut himself one of those.

However, that plan would have to work, because suddenly he saw just how entertaining a reaction he was getting from Anita.

"Oh, really. Now, that just doubles the pleasure."

"I shouldn't have told you," she said immediately, though her hand hid the fact that she was smiling all the same. Having a sense of humor about all of this was vital, really. "Now you're never going to stop picturing it."

"I might, you'd just have to replace it with an equally appealing visual." Sirius grinned, relieved that they didn't seem to have any trouble finding there easy communication again.


"So who was it?"

"Kate," she said flatly, shaking her head as if to tell him no, no more visuals were going to happen. "My partner at the police department. We didn't have our memories at the time."

"Ah."

He paused for a moment, then raised his eyebrows as he connected the dots. "Oohh... That has to make for a comfortable work environment."

She cringed visibly. "We haven't spoken since then."

[alwaysimpure]

"I can imagine. There's someone I'm not sure what to say to, either."

Sirius offered her a grin. "Not you, though. Very good technique."

She grinned in reply, the blush fading from her cheeks. Talking about Kate embarrassed her, it was so far out of her comfort zone, but Sirius' flirting, she could take. Teasing was fast becoming the norm for them, and his cheerful way of doing it was far preferable to Jean-Claude's heavy-handed adoration.

"You weren't so bad yourself. Very close to being a kiss to write home about."

"Just very close? You mustn't be much into writing letters."

Sirius smirked, obviously not actually meaning that complaint. He looked up at the mistletoe again thoughtfully.

"I should cut one down and take a closer look at it."

"I prefer phone calls. Quick and too the point. I don't like to get too wordy," she quipped with a knowing smirk. She followed his gaze upwards, curious.

"Yeah? Think you might be able to analyze it?"

"I've always liked owls, myself. They should have some here."

So much more...efficient. Well. More something, at any rate.

"Should be possible. It has magical properties for sure, the question is whether they can be distilled and used somehow."

She leveled a challenging look in his direction, amused.

"What, going to try and brew your own love potions for that special someone?"

[alwaysimpure]

"No, actually I was just going to see whether the material could be used as wand cores or if..." Sirius trailed off when he realized that he'd been a bit too much in brilliant wizard mood to notice the teasing.

Now that he caught on, he shook his head with a chuckle. "Oh, bugger off."

She put her hands up in defense, biting her lip to hold back a laugh. He'd made that one far too easy.

"You can't blame a girl for asking. It seemed suspect."

"I've never used a love potion on anyone!" Sirius declared, shaking his head, "Sure had to be careful around Valentine's though. When in doubt, let your friends taste test your food." He paused, then added with a smirk, "With or without their knowledge."

She grinned. "Lots of girls trying to slip you something? Did your friends ever thank you for getting them a little action? You know, if the potions were successful."

[alwaysimpure]

"Mostly they weren't very grateful for their temporary infatuation with girls that wanted me." Sirius shrugged, as if this was simply beyond his comprehension. "They were high maintenance, I suppose. That and some of the potions weren't done well and had strange effects."
