Satonaka Chie

Oh, man, I was way too hung over yesterday. Lucky for me, I never need to use my sick days for anything else! (Probably lucky I didn't take anybody home with me, too...)

Though, man, they seemed pretty confused at the station, too. Said I wasn't on the schedule. Hey, maybe I'm going to be reassigned undercover! Sergeant Satonaka and her fearsome kung-fu grip, patrolling the dark corners of the underworld in secret! And I won't even have to jump through a TV this time!

Hey, Detective Shirogane, have you heard any rumors like that? Am I getting reassigned? C'mon, spill!

[Have a shot of the floor. Then of the ceiling. Then a shot of a little girl's face coming into view from below as she turns the phone over in her hands. She looks about seven or eight, wearing a read polka-dotted nightie and house robe, with heaps of unruly ginger hair. Her expression twists up into dubious disapproval - she's not sure she likes what she sees, and she definitely doesn't trust it - nevertheless, for a girl of her age, she seems quite calm. Fearless, even.]

Is this the future?

[Look past the adorable lisp for a moment and you might note the extremely familiar accent, and equally familiar note of scorn. If this is the future, that face seems to say, she might as well have just slept in.]

it wwas laughably easy to comandeer a vvessel on this island

creatures here are delightfully susceptible to evven the most basic aharpoon wwhich ivve found becomes tedious after a wwhile

vvery little challenge in it not to mention the sheer lack a divversity betwween each creature seadwwellin or not

findin it harder howwevver to maintain a course awway from this wwretched landbase

roughly four nautical miles out theres an impenetrable barrier

it wwould appear repeated attempts to impregnate such a fortification results in death

not as if that wwasnt wwhat wwould awwait such a pathetic excuse for a creww ivve managed to "employ"

amazin wwhat one can do wwhen inhabitants are so unaccustomed to threats

the lack a passage beyond this island is no urgent matter

due to the docile nature a its inhabitants i see no reason wwhy i shouldnt take the landmass for my owwn and deduce an appropriate manner areachin the rest a the sea from there

i could use a fair feww neww slavves after all

[ Claire is aged down. To before she knew about her ability. So she's going to be confused, all over again, about her magical life here. ]

Lyle? Lyle! Did you do this? You'd better not have ruined what mom and I are baking!

[ Okay. No response from Lyle. This is a problem. ]

Mom? Dad? Where are you guys? Come on - this isn't funny!

Um -- [ She looks visibly freaked, more and more by the second. ]

Is -- anyone out there? Who could tell me what's happening? Who knows?

So, all of this is really interesting, isn't it? I think you're right, Jenny. We've got a bit of a time crisis on our hands. It's exciting, though, isn't it? A real, honest-to-goodness time crisis! It's like I'm back in Cardiff. Oh, memories.

Jenny? Would you be up for another night of dinner with me?

Private to Tavros.

I'm not sure what's going on, exactly, but I wanted to make sure that you were all right. I know meeting your Shadow can be a rough ordeal, but it can be something that's good, too, if you make the most of it. I know that you're stronger than you think. Let yourself rest, all right? If you need me, I'll come over, even if you just want me to make some tea and have some company.

Oh, I guess we should see about getting that door fixed...

Private to the Host Club (that means you too, Minato)

This might sound strange, but why don't we have a slumber party, even while everyone's grown up? It could be fun! Minato-chan, if you don't have anywhere to go, then I'm sure it would be okay if you wanted to come. It's like a reunion! Only it's not a reunion, ah, but it could be considered one, right? At least for some of us, for the others it'd be fun just to get to know the people that our friends are going to be in a few years!

Oh! Jack, I invited some people over. I hope you won't mind. Ah, and maybe keep in mind to put on some pants.
