Dear diary,

Seems an odd way to open up when I've just been told I wasn't real and suddenly I am, doesn't it? I don't feel all that strange, but I guess I'm still trying to take it all in.

Anyway, my name's Kaylee. Not sure if there's anything mechanical needs fixing around here, but I'm the one to do it- machine workings just talk to me. Say, would anybody happen to know someone named Malcolm Reynolds...? How about Simon or River Tam, or Inara Serra? Would be nice if someone I know was here. Not that I'm not open to making new friends, either!
