What the hell is a school dance?

Is there food there?

Isn't it a little late for homecoming? Also, does the high school even have a football team to have a homecoming game for? None of this makes sense, but I'm pretty sure my boyfriend and I spent most of ours drunk and making out so I might not be the best judge of his crap.
