Just one question before I go (sorry for borrowing your phone, cher. I'll give it back, I promise you that).

That building, the one with the brand-new smoking hole in the side of it.

Is that really a hospital? Because if so, maybe I owe somebody an apology.

Then again, if half of what they say is true... maybe I don't.

This is going against protocol a little, but it looks like you've all got the wrong idea. Some of you, anyway.

There are lots of different worlds. I tried telling those people when I arrived that I didn't need to hear their explanation, but they went on and told me anyway. Well, there's no stopping someone once they've got something in their heads. Too bad. But the rest of you can think differently, right? That's the idea, anyway. But the real thing is, this place reminds me a little of another one I've been to—one that catches people when they've got nowhere else to go. Maybe I'm wrong, but sometimes, it just happens that way. That doesn't mean anything bad has really happened, but it's a place for wayward travelers.

That place was a town, too. It had people who got to know one another and everything in-between.

Which sounds a little sappy. So let's skip ahead.

My name is Riku. If you can give me more of an idea of how things go here, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.
