Who: Tim & Loki.
When: Backdated to mid-June.
Where: Tim's apartment.
What: After averting explosions, Loki comes to pick up his spellbook.
The book is locked up, but not because Tim has any intention of keeping it. Because he wants to keep it safe until Loki shows up. It is, strangely enough, a respect thing.
The day after their excursion, Tim worked, then spent several hours writing, editing, discarding, and re-writing fail-safe reports to be released in the event of his release or incapacity. Then he let himself start to pass out, at last, after about forty hours on his feet -- fully dressed, on top of the covers, all his alarms and surveillance systems armed and at full capacity.
Loki would be back. It'd be interesting to see how and when and how far he got.
Just before going to bed, he hesitated, freezing in place for nearly a minute to think over the possibilities. Then he sent a text message. Nothing complicated.
Loki. Hope you're okay. Tell me when you're free to talk. In person, preferably.Okay. Whether he got a reply or not, now he could sleep.
Five minutes later he was out cold.
