So just checking, but we all figure this is just an alternate reality right? Because I don't think I can deal with two teenage (toddler?) existential crises.

I know high school sucks too, but it's kinda cool having some friends this time around.

Right let's get this down then.  Just a few notes.

I'm fictional!  That's never happened before.  Exciting.  I wonder if that means I'll get to meet Harry Potter?  I'd love a magic wand.  Attention New Moore: Is there a Mr. Harry Potter on the island?

Anyway.  Beside the point.  And that point is... fictional.  Influx of fictional people on a real island, though if we're fictional I'm not sure how they can tell that they're real and not just somebody else's fiction.  But if they can tell... then there's got to be some sort of readings.  Energy, maybe?  Some form of radiation?  Maybe we're all emitting fictons.  Ha!  Fictons, I like that.  Clever.  A photon for the imagination...  I'll have to try the maths on that, see if anything interesting turns up.  Hmm.

In the meantime!  Guess I'd better have a look around the island, make sure Lord Voldemort's not going to swoop in and take it over.  Or Captain Hook, maybe.  Iago.  Miss Havisham?  Somebody threatening, lots of threatening people in books.  Am I from books then?  I wonder who wrote me?  Do students do papers on me in literature classes?  Well rounded character, three dimensional, dramatic irony, Merlin figure.  The Doctor And Dumbledore:  A Comparative Essay.  Full marks!

If everyone here was from books, though, I'd expect to recognize a few more of them.  That means... no.  Yes.  No.

I'm sorry.  That means some of you are from the telly.  Lives lived in increments of forty minutes, horrible gaping plot holes, written out during sweeps week for a dramatic twist... got to be traumatic.  On the plus side... maybe we've got some plays, too!  Shakespeare!  I can finally have a pint with Falstaff.  Falstaff?  Anybody seen Falstaff?  For that matter, has anybody read me?  British writer, no doubt, mid-to-late twentieth century Earth -  that explains why I like it here so much!  Well, that and jelly babies.  Unfortunately probably not JK Rowling or I wouldn't know about Harry Potter.  Actually it's probably pointless to guess, they probably didn't write their name into my books so I won't recognize it.  Did they write anything else?  Have I got spin-offs?  Prequels?

On second thought, maybe it's better I don't know.

001.

I can feel myself growing soft with this lifestyle. It's unacceptable.

A sparring partner would not go amiss.

I will not attend school. I am fluent in 37 different languages, and six different types of computer programming.

I do not need to attend school.

The counsellor said that it might help if I became part of the community, like getting a job... I don't know if it'll work. I mean, everyone's so cheerful! Doesn't it bother people to be thought of as imaginary? However... It's not home, but I've been accepted as a hostess at the Four Saisons. It seems that this is likely what I'm best suited for. They are slightly short-staffed at the moment, so if people are interested in helping people get checked in and settled into their rooms, there are still some openings.

I don't think this school is anywhere near as qualified as our real school.
