Judging by the stack of papers on my desk, I can only assume it is time for me to make another announcement at the grace of our unseen government's discretion.
I have been asked to inform you that until further notice, the incident that most recently occurred is still filed under ongoing investigations. Currently, the information is classified but in accordance with policy
and the slip of paper I have been instructed to read this from I am allowed only to reveal that a similar hallucinogenic to the one found in the forest of New Moore is suspected to be responsible for the outbreak of unusual behavior.
We, at the New Moore Police Department, are dedicated to the safety and well being of all residents of this island, regardless of species, gender, colour, preferences, prior histories and preformed notions. I would like to take this time to reiterate that vigilante justice will not be tolerated. Any persons taking the law, or other perceived notions of justice, real or imagined, into their own hands, will be in direct contempt of the NMPD. Any actions viewed as such may result in the detaining and questioning of all individuals involved until such time as they are no longer deemed a danger to the public.
If you suspect a member of the community to be a threat, we would like to remind you that you may, at any time, come to the NMPD to file a complaint. However, until such time as an individual has been proven guilty of a crime on New Moore, no actions will be taken against them. Whatever lives you believe you lived prior to your life here, were, in accordance with New Moore's official stance, purely
fictional. As such, no person(s) may be prosecuted for crimes they have not committed, and are to be treated as citizens, regardless of preformed prejudices of the populace.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation,
Police Chief Thomas Kreise
