[The opening shot is into a thick tree, but then it swings round toward town. Something is moving through the forest. Nearer to town, the trees thin, revealing a spinning ball of loosely collected papers, or screens, surrounding a humanoid figure in robes. The camera swings further around, and zooms in on a flight of three enormous rhinoceros beetles the size of cars rising from the foliage, headed for town. As they turn, nearer the city, the ambient city light illuminates a strange mask stuck to the beetle's face and gleams on the golden carapace. Is it wearing a plush red crown? It sure looks like it... Aisling's whisper sounds bewildered.]

They've... They've stayed after that evil time. And they're leaving the forest.

[A great crashing makes the camera whirl left and focus in on what appears to be a spike-crowned tower fortress. Moving? It's definitely moving, and behind it are... knights in armor? The whisper sharpens with alarm.]

Everyone should be careful! These things are all powerful! And they do a lot of damage.

Alright, everyone, listen very carefully! It appears that the entire town has been flooded with monsters - I'm not familiar with all of them, but I am familiar with several of them, and there are a couple things you all need to know about them!

First, if anyone sees a stone statue of a weeping angel, keep looking at it! They are quantum locked - in the sight of any living creature, they literally turn to stone. But if you turn your head away - if you even blink - they'll be on you in an instant. They are fast, faster than you would believe. If they touch you, then it's all over - they send you back to the past and consume all the days you might have had. Oh, and be careful - they can also drain the lights, even when they're in the stone.

So keep watching, don't even blink - but don't look at the eyes. Look anywhere but the eyes. The image of an angel becomes an angel - if you look in the eyes, the angel will crawl inside your mind!

Second are the Silence. They are memory proof - you can't even remember they were there the instant you look away. They can draw lighting out of anything, and more than that, they can implant suggestions in your head while you're looking at them. It's like post-hypnotic suggestion - you can be doing things and not knowing why you're doing them. If anyone around you is behaving odd, it's possible they're acting on the orders of the Silence.

If you are facing the Silence, try to keep one in sight at all times! If you can, mark yourself in some way so you know you've had an encounter.

Now! I have the TARDIS, and I can come pick people up. If you see a weeping angel, or if you need rescuing from anything, let me know and I'll be there as soon as I can!

Off we go then! GERONIMO!!

UPDATE: There are also green plant creature walking around. Do not get close to these or they will explode!

Also, the silence look like this. Everyone take a look - you'll forget when you're no longer looking, but you'll remember again if you see them. That way you'll know what you're dealing with.

Where are you? Are you all right?

[After hearing a couple of distressed messages over the network and taking in the view of the overrun streets from the top floor of the Avengers Tower, Bruce is alarmed. Not that he looks visibly distressed--he's good at keeping that sort of thing under wraps.

Anyone in the Tower will see him stripping down to his pants as he makes his way downstairs. There's no need to ruin perfectly good clothing, after all. Anyone else nearby will just see a shoeless, shirtless nerd emerging from the Avengers' headquarters. After a cursory glance to take in his immediate surroundings, he wastes no time before Hulking out and charging into the fray with a deafening roar.]

((ooc: for anyone in the Tower, feel free to catch him pre-hulk, just let me know okay))

Anybody out there need help? Let me know, we'll try to get to you and bring you back to a safe area.

[there's a chuckle on the other end of the receiver, and whoever's listening can almost see his nonchalant shrug.]

Looks like we hit this shit again.

I just wanted to leave a kind reminder that the business is still up and running for whoever needs a hired hand. I'll give a discount for anyone who can give me a good challenge.

This is all so interesting! I've never been a fictional person before! Or... rather, perhaps I've always been a fictional person? The logistics are a little confusing. But really, this is such a beautiful place. If I had to be told that my life was wrong and that I was going to be brought up to speed on normal life outside my fairy tale, this is really a most welcoming place to be brought to.

I can't imagine why they wanted to keep me inside on such a lovely, sunny day.

Shit. Oh god. These fucking-- Oh bloody hell.

[There's a muffled explosion, then the sound of running footsteps and quiet, but heavy breathing, the former of which stops after a few moments]

I don't think it... Oh fuck. Why do I--

[A pause]

Why do I have all these tally marks on my--... Oh my god.

All right, listen up.

Reports from the edge of town suggest the fun is on its way again. All officers, meet me at the station at ten.

Rogers, Barnes, you've got your assignment already.

Everyone else, we're pairing up and patrolling. There's a lot of city to look out for. We can't be everywhere.

I can't promise anyone else that there's going to be any safe route tonight. Here's what I can do.

[Image link]  These are our patrol routes.  Stay close to them, and you've got a better chance of getting help.

[Audio file]  Here's a klaxon app for your phone.  Play it if you're attacked, and if any patrol can hear it, we'll be on our way.

Stay armed, or near someone who's armed.  Stay away from windows.  If you live on the first story, find a friend who doesn't.  Barricade your doors and wait for dawn.

There's a crowd of people heading from the agricultural district down towards the coast.  Nothing's bothering or attacking them... but they're not listening to anything anyone says, either.  It's like they're not... not here, somehow.  Has anyone else seen or heard of anything like this?  Does anyone know what's going on?  Because whatever it is, I don't like it.  Got a bad feeling.

It might help if I had someone knowledgeable to consult.  Anyone would do.  Even an expert hypnotist, say.

How's everyone else holding up?  Jenny?  Rose?  Ianto?  Yosuke?

[Locked to Investigation Team]

With all this going on, are you going to have the time to get to Jack?

Is there anything I can do to help?

[Since she's spent all day fiddling with her phone, perhaps it's not quite such a surprise that she's figured out the audio function. And given the current situation, perhaps it's not unreasonable for her to be not-quite-wailing.]

I really don't think I want to be here anymore! [CRASH!] Ah! What was that? Oh my goodness... It-- it's a person, but its cloak is fingers? [Something explodes and she squeaks, muffled like she's put her hand over her mouth.] I-I think it just blew up that garbage can because there was a cat near it! Is he an alchemist? Why would he do something like that?

I want to go home now... At least there all we had to worry about were mad gunman, not psychopaths with living cloaks!
