Tim Drake
05 April 2013 @ 09:27 am
Who: Tim & Ianto.
What: Chatting about relationships with no particular motives whatsoever.
Where: The New Brew.
When: Earlier this week?

There was always a pleasant lull between the time the New Brew closed for the night and Torchwood operations got underway, and all too often Tim & Ianto spent it in the coffee shop, either working in quiet harmony, on pointless minutiae customers would likely never notice, or, on rarer occasions, in conversation.  Right now, Tim was restocking the exotic sugars selection in the carousel, for example.

He blew his breath out, slowly, audibly.  He'd been carefully melancholy all day, in every quiet moment where he didn't have to stare at a customer, which was less a matter of acting and more a matter of loosening his restraint just a little and thinking about certain aspects of his life at the expense of others.  Being melancholy was better than feeling angry and frustrated, and actually kind of soothing.

Ianto was extremely reliable about certain things.  Tim was moping.  Moping meant coffee was pending, probably soon, and all he had to do in the meantime was bide his time and count the cartons of cream in the refrigerator to make sure they didn't need to order any more.

Itsuki Koizumi
05 April 2013 @ 08:09 pm
Who: Koizumi and Chief Beifong
What: Sparring
Where: A provate training room at the gym
When: Earlier this week?

Koizumi has been working nearly nonstop this past month - devoting himself completely to police training, to the SOS Brigade, and to his duties as an esper. It's hard work, and long, and it means he has almost no time for himself - but so far he has proven himself up for the challenge.

At the moment, he is facing off against two nonfictional officers - blocking or diverting all of their attacks and advances without countering or reciprocating. He'd been practicing all the physical aspects of his training for the past three hours - firearms, stealth, interrogation training, several forms of martial arts, and now self-defense - which had been preceded by several more hours of study on protocol.

Though he is very talented, and a quick study as regards all these subjects, he appears to be particularly gifted at self defense - his movements flowing and guiding his opponents', using their force and momentum against them. Despite his oncoming fatigue, he's easily outmatching his opponents.

D --> I am a bit confused as to the purpose of this world
D --> Or even where e%actly it is located
D --> I presume this is another dream bubble, but it seems to be overrun by humans
D --> None of whom appear to be the humans I am semi-familiar with
D --> And I must admit, it angers me to be called fictional
D --> Being dead does not alter the state of one’s realness
D --> Also, what is this sch001feeding the humans are speaking of
D --> I am no wiggler, I do not need to be sch001fed
D --> I am, in fact considerably older than I 100k
D --> Possibly
D --> I would appreciate an e%planation, as I have been forbidden to smash any more things

[Chief Beifong is keeping her voice perilously even and neutral, but the ends of her words and phrases are clipped. Those who've spoken at length with her will not be terribly surprised, perhaps to find an undercurrent of fury to her brief message.]

The full list of those released is not yet complete, but I do have one name which shouldn't wait.

I am able to announce that Erik Lensherr was released from the island.

Released in the full sense of the word as it applies here. Any details of the release will not be revealed at this time, as they are pending review.
