the once-ler

[ Once-ler's (sporting a trendy new look of cats-scratched-my-face-up-so-much-why-this) in the park! He clears his throat then holds a thneed up to the camera. See thneed. He then folds the thneed into a small fuzzy ball and shows that to the camera. Fuzzy yarn like ball. He then points the camera down to show a bunch of cats sitting there watching it very very eagerly.

He then points the camera away from him and tosses the thneed. 10+ cats scramble after the thing ]

Going out on a limb here... But if anybody wants to buy one of these right now, it makes the greatest cat toy ever. It's only 3.98 and for an extra .15 cents I will throw a tiny laser pointer. Fun for hours guaranteed.

We're also having discounts on anchovy pizza.

Also! Also. [ points at one of the newer scratches on his cheek ] I'm aware I'm very tall and you can't get down for some reason but if I'm just going to get scratched up for helping, I'm going to have to start charging to get all the cats slash cat-people down from your trees. 'Cause ow....

Akemi Homura

Who: Akemi Homura, Xion, Dave Strider, Kid Loki?, Aradia Megido?, and YOU.  If you want.
Where: Robbin' Baskins, Goldenhead Park, &/or the apartments.
When: Saturday afternoon.
What: Cats and ice cream.

Usually, Homura was better at waiting than almost anyone, but not today.  Anyone watching the ice cream shop, or the park, or the open quad between the apartment buildings would see her there, momentarily, peering around corners and frowning, ears twitching, tail lashing, before she vanished, prowling across town to haunt one of the other locations -- and occasionally, a certain empty hallway at the Four Saisones, which had acquired a reputation for being haunted in the last few days, since staff reported hearing a crying girl in the corridior, but never saw her.

She'd made several appointments, some of them almost simultaneously, but she wasn't worried.  She could keep them all.  The problem was waiting for them.  So she checked each spot, again and again, looking for the people she expected to see, hand tightening repeatedly on her phone.  She could call them.  But she'd left text messages already, at least one or two apiece.  They'd show up soon.  It was fine.  Really, the only problem was that she couldn't stop her tail from lashing, and that irritated her, at least a little.

Alisha Bailey

[The days had turned into battles against boredom; without a single word from Sirius since their last... encounter, Alisha found herself constantly seeking distractions. First the beach, then Tim's party, then offering to help the Once-ler procure bandages... she has done her best to keep busy.

Though she's stuck toting a Bengal cat's ears and tail, that search for mind-numbing distraction hasn't changed. However, given her current -and hopefully temporary- changes, it feels all too appropriate to fall back into an old habit of hers, one she hadn't picked up since her last days back home.

Thus she finds herself outside the ice cream shoppe, clothed in a bikini top and low-rise shorts (granted, she probably wouldn't be wearing them if not for the unfortunately needy and easily cramped appendage known as a tail), sunbathing on top of the outside tables. Frankly, she doesn't care if it's bad or good for their business; their tables are getting the best direct sunlight.

...And that is the exact image she's unintentionally sending out over the network; when she set her phone down at the top of the table, she hadn't realized she already "pocket dialed" the network.

Oh well. Enjoy the view, Mew Moore.]

[The video switches on to show a feed of the street at first. It's almost like somebody has abandoned their mobile- when there's some movement across the street. A fluffy white and tan kitten in a little hat trounces around, making her way up a tree- and then leaping from the tree. Into a stop sign.

The stop sign falls with a big KER-THUNK, and the kitten sits on the sign before mewling loudly and happily.]

[Given the awkward, slanted angle of view, it's probable that the phone was turned on accidentally. Vibrant grass stripes the blue of a sky just starting to tinge orange and pink at the edges with sunset. Small, puffy clouds like golden peaches drift slowly by and the lazy breeze ruffles the grass across the sloping meadow toward the forest edge.

...Wait. That wasn't the breeze. Something pale was crouched there, stalking something.

A lean, bunchy shape leaps from concealment, moving at blurring speeds to pounce hard on the camera, which gets plucked up and thrown violently into the air. Once, twice, spinning nauseatingly, then is caught and held steady, trained on the grinning face of a young girl with snow-white hair and a pair of fluffy cat's ears poking up from the top of her head. Slightly less surprising, given the rash of posts on the Network, but still. Pretty peculiar for those who know her.

Being a cat is fun! I think I'll keep it for later. If anyone needs lessons on how to do it right, you know where to go~

((ooc: If anyone wishes to action spam with the little catling, feel free to instigate! Also, I have an alternate journal for cat icons: [personal profile] militheach, so don't be alarmed if it shows up.))
