[It seems whatever is messing with the island this time has not left Carol unaffected. She turns on the video feed and anyone on the other end is given a rather nice view of her new costume before it zooms in on her face.]

It seems like we're having a bit of a misunderstanding as of late, dear citizens of New Moore; so I'm going to make this as clear as I can for everyone: I'm going to go blow some shit up. If you don't want to get blown up, don't get in my way. Any questions?

Well, isn't this a pickle? I've spent the past few nights reviewing the network — partially for a bit of light reading, cos I can't seem to find hide nor hair of my Asimov collection, and partially to fill some irreconcilable gaps in my knowledge. For example, how is it possible I never spoke to Iron Man while he was here? Not once? Honestly, talk about missed opportunities, I'm disappointed in myself. I've shared living quarters with an honest to goodness alien for years and never once thought to ask him of the atmospheric makeup of his home planet? WHO AM I? And Victor, it seems we're long overdue for a discussion on the exact nature of nanite technology. Please, regale me.

Also, it seems I've been a bit— well, I'm honestly not one for foul language, but a bit of an arse. I'd like to apologise to anyone I've offended over the years. That kind of behaviour just isn't socially acceptable. I'm not normally like that!

But frankly, quite a lot of what's been said to me on here is hurtful as well, so perhaps we were all feeling out of sorts.

At any rate! I'd be chuffed as chips if we could all come to an understanding and agree to move forward in a more pleasant manner.

Got a couple questions.

1. Why?

[ When the feed comes through, the only sound that can be heard is crackling and the occasional pop. If one didn't know any better, one might assume that it was fire they were hearing. It is a long moment before a voice comes over the feed, low and gruff-sounding, though muffled, as though the device were stowed in a pocket.. ]

It's not enough. Not enough destruction. What purpose do I have if I cannot cause destruction?

[ pop. ]

No... it cannot be meaningless. Destroying mere things gives me no pleasure. But to destroy a life... Oh... oh yes. There is no greater destruction. Destroying body and spirit in the same motion... to watch it fade before my eyes.

That could be... delightful.

[It seems the personality changes have claimed another victim. And she's obviously agitated.]

Humanity has gotten rather disappointing, as of late. An entire world... And they simply don't see it. They don't see what's really there. We've forgotten the world we were born of.

Of course, they claim that world is a fiction. And this one... It's so empty.

How do they live like this?
